  • The intro is gonna take some getting used to but the actual music is great.

    • The build at the beginning is just a little long. They're going to have to figure out how to shoot it because having to cut back and forth from the entrance to DB was a little awkward.

Maybe once there are people adding some crowd shots or some VTR of Reigns highlights would help to fill that time.

      • On August 30th, Roman's Uni Title Reign will be a full year, and at this point, I do not see anyone on the roster who will beat him for the title. Yes, the WWE could easily build up Big E to the top face to be the one to dethrone Reigns, but as of now I do not see it happening for this summer, at least. E is in a feud with Alistair Black, and that will likely culminate at SummerSlam so that takes him out of the current title picture.

I know that the Dream Match is Roman vs Rock at WM38, but you do NOT need the title for that match but it probably will have it.

And now that Cesaro is back to feuding with Rollins, KO already feuded with Roman for a few months, E as stated is feuding with Black, Nakamura is feuding with Corbin, and the severe lack of other top faces on Smackdown makes it hard to see who Roman's next opponent will be, let alone who could beat him.

My guess is that we get a Roman/Jimmy feud like we had with Roman/Jey last year, but that will be a stop gap feud, and will probably end up with the same conditions as Jey, where Jimmy will have to acknowledge Roman.

So, what are your thoughts to the long term plan? If it is Rock at WM38, then Roman needs some credible opponents to fill that time because there just aren't any. Unless Balor comes back to the main roster to challenge Roman. Other than that...I have no idea.

        • Well John Cena is rumoured to be coming back in time for SummerSlam...and then after that is normally when they do a draft and so someone like McIntyre or Strowman or maybe even Lashley could be drafted across

          • Cena is an option, but will Vince have the balls to dethrone Roman by Cena, so Cena can become a 17-time champion, and since Suicide Squad open August 6, will Vince want Cena to go to all his press conferences as WWE Universal Champion?

I am not sure that Cena is the best option. Cena coming back should not lose his first feud in nearly 4 years. Looking at Cena's time line:
After His WM loss to Taker in 2018 Cena had 3 televised match in 2018 and it was at SuperShowdown, Greatest Royal Rumble and a SD.
In 2019 - 3 televised matches, 2 mutliman matches on RAW and the Firefly Funhouse match.
Nothing in 2020 and half of 2021 (so far).

So Cena returning for any sort of program has to have him do something of substance where he should win that feud. I cannot see him being the one to dethrone Roman. I see more backlash from the fans if that happens.

Cena becomes a 17-time champion, surpassing Flair, and he will be yet another veteran coming back to win the top title. Remember how Bats was booed? And the Backlash over the Rock in twice in a lifetime? And Goldberg winning the title from KO? And Edge winning the Rumble this year?

I just can't see Cena vs Roman, but I would not put it past Vince to do so.

            • Before I saw your post about Reigns I actually thought Cena would face Edge at SummerSlam as the latter's been advertised to return on the Smackdown before Money in the Bank. But it's a similar problem to Reigns, although not as drastic, in that Cena probably needs to win his returning match seeing as he hasn't won a big match since the mixed tag at 'Mania '17. Unless you count his victory over HHH at GRR. And Edge is coming off the loss in 'Mania's main event.

My main reasoning for Cena vs. Reigns at SSlam is because I can't think of anyone else that'll be ready. Apart from Brock. And if Brock faces Reigns I can see Cena facing Lashley or McIntyre for the WWE Title.

              • I think Seth and Cesaro will make it a Triple Threat HIAC match, and I don't think E vs Black will last until SummerSlam.

                  • Reigns has dome such an exceptional job as a heel as the Head of the Table, The Tribal Chief, that he is already getting a mixture of cheers with the boos. When he does turn face, it will be HUGE!

                    • I really, really don't think they should be considering that for a while yet. He's doing too good a job right now. But that said, I wonder if they could do something to tease a face turn that plays into that before he switches it up to become a more over heel, not unlike when The Rock briefly left the NoD only to turn things back around at the Deadly Games tournament.

                      • Michael Cole on SD: Roman Reigns is the most arrogant person in WWE history.

I think that the Model Rick Martel has something to say about that. After all, he literally walked around with Arrogance.
