  • Mixed reviews? I think his Colby Lopez twitter persona was the only thing getting mixed reviews, but the Messiah gimmick has been gold. People who are bothered by him saying WWE is the best wrestling on the planet, and that Ricochet is better than Will Ospreay, are the only ones mixed in my opinion. He's been a great heel in this role. On Fridays, he's the Saviour of Smackdown. He's a great wrestler, easy to hate, and puts his opponents over.

    • Yeah, mixed in the literal sense. I've seen a lot of people praise it, but some people say it's awful - and not just the usual suspects who complain about everything WWE but some pretty knowledgeable people.

So, yeah, mixed. Some love it, but what I've heard has been far from universal praise.

      • First I've heard of mixed reactions. Ah well.

The thing with so many top WWE stars is that they aren't faces of the company. This isn't a knock. I really feel that in my lifetime, we've only seen Hogan, Austin, Rock, and Cena in that role. Then, there's guys like Bret and Shawn who were at the top of the company, but weren't THE GUY. This is Seth. Great in so many ways, but just doesn't have that major crossover star power. I find it hard to argue, but if he's had mixed reactions, then I guess it's possible.
