This is some very crazy booking. Why not just have Dean cost Seth their team the match? Or if this was a way to get the belts off Macyntire and Ziggler, why not have Seth and Dean fight AOP or Revival next week for the belts and have Dean turn heel there?
Also, anyone think Macyntire will be added to the Lesner and Braun match at Crown Jewel and potentially even get the belt?

Very odd booking that I expect people will ignore because surprise heel turns seem to pop fans these days, even if the timing of them makes no sense.
The Shield is the only thing that has held Ambrose together in the past. When he lost his brothers the first time he was the one that went 'crazy', he was the one that pursued Rollins for vengeance, and he was the one that seemed desperate for The Shield to be back together. Come to now and they are back together, but Dean's spent weeks being 'the weak link' and now all of a sudden his safety net has gone because The Shield has fallen apart. His emotions run high, and he turns on his remaining brother as an act of proving he's no longer weak, plus some kind of PTSD from the last Shield split when it was Rollins who swung the chair.
And on top of that, while the timing might not be perfect, using it against Reigns' stuff means that now Ambrose gets extra heat, Rollins gets extra sympathy, and so on. Doing it on the same night is the best way to really get that emotion going.
I don't necessarily think they're going to lean into Roman's leukaemia stuff much in the feud that's coming up, but it's perfect storytelling in a way. As ever, The Shield members get given the best stories when they come down to human emotion, not unlike the whole reunion angle between Seth and Dean last year.
I'm looking forward to it playing out.
