  • Thanks...and we might just get that scenario with Chelsea's and WWE's pending trademark issue.

    • Corey Graves moving to Raw is interesting, because last I knew, he was in a relationship with Carmella and typically WWE keeps couples together on the same show.

So, either they are no longer together, or they're going to draft Carmella to Raw soon.

      • Not necessarily now. Everything is in one place. They aren't travelling so they wouldn't be split up anyway.

Until they start travelling again it's not really a big deal.

        • So, at what point does Mickie James go from airing grievances to just being bitter?

          • If you go by rumors, she's been frustrated for a while. She was apparently cleared many months ago, hasn't been used, treated like retired at some Raw reunion show, given a commentary and co-host gig on Takeover before Mania, and then released. If all of the rumors are true, I comprehend agree with her POV, because the main roster women's division could have used any sort of help and credibility after Becky ad Ronda left.

            • Not that there wasn't a use for her. But she clearly wanted to do more than they wanted her to do, they didn't plan on using her in a prominent role, so shouldn't she be relieved that now she can go see what she can do in another company?

I think their women's divisions are doing alright right now. I see why she would be frustrated to see guys 40+ main eventing WrestleMania where she feels her age prevented her from being featured prominently. But I don't think it was so much "her age" as it was trying to establsih new stars in Bianca, Rhea and Raquel.

What's a little unfortunate is that one of these women working Trish, Lita or even Beth Phoenix and winning would feel like a massive deal, but for some reason I don't get the same impression with Mickie. I don't know if it's because she's never really stopped being a full time wrestler and hasn't really been treated as that "legend" in WWE, or her long run with Impact, as much as someone in the upper middle part of the card. She just kind of always feels like "one of the boys". I hope wherever she goes next treats her like the legend she is.

                • So, looks like Zelina Vega might well be coming back to WWE based on recent news reports - at the very least, she's been at the PC recently and filmed by a camera crew with Simone Johnson.

                    • With changes apparently coming to WWE's announce teams, what would people think of moving Michael Cole back to Raw, and Corey Graves to Smackdown?

I get the impression that they see Graves as the guy to eventually replace Cole, and the combination of Graves and Pat McAfee would probably give Smackdown a younger and cooler feel.

Since they seem set on a three man booth for Raw, I'm not sure who they would get as that third person with Cole and Byron Saxon. Would Wade Barrett maybe go on the road with them? Saxon was a wrestler, but he's firmly in that "announcer" role for a long time, so having someone who'd done a little more in-ring and has the gravitas of an athlete behind the desk would be helpful.

                      • The only way for Graves to be a lead announcer is for him to drop the "heel color guy" gimmick. Can he? I hope so.

                        • I don't see Graves being a play by play guy. Maybe I'm wrong, but have they ever moved a color guy to the play by play role?

I think we'll see Tom Phillips or the guy in NXT now who was once on Raw (I can't remember his name).

I also hope we get more color time for the female announcers. Charly was really good before she left, but Kayla is great as well, I think Sarah Schriber has lots of personality, and McKenzie in NXT seems more than just a good looking women with a mic. I'm not sure any of them would be good in the booth, but I think they are worth trying out.

                          EDIT
Or Jimmy Smith! I like this idea.

                          • Interesting. I wonder how this will play out. He should theoretically be really, really good at combat sports play-by-play. If they let him do that, he's probably good.

Having a three man booth in that case could be a benefit. Michael Cole tends to be play-by-play and primary salesperson. But if they could get Smith doing straight PBP, Corey on colour and Bryon as their salesperson, it could be a really effective team.

                            • I want Heyman to NOT just be Roman's advisor, I want Heyman to be a leader of men. Not necessarily the leader of the "Heyman Family" like the Brain was, but to have a few guys that he advises besides Roman.

If and when Lesnar comes back, he WILL be paired with Heyman. So why not have Heyman bring back Lesnar to finally face off with Lashley and then Lesnar beats Lashley and now you have Heyman advising/managing the top champions on both brands.

Hell you could even have Becky come back also advised by Heyman, and she wins the SDWC from Belair.

And finally, maybe Heyman extends his services to Rhea Ripley and then Heyman has all 4 champions under his wing.

I know this is a little fantasy booking, but it could work big picture wise. Maybe adding the women is over extending, but Lesnar vs Lashley needs to happen, and real soon and Heyman advising both top champions is too good to pass up.

                              • Speaking of fantasy booking, how does Cena/Goldberg for a top match at SummerSlam sound? Goldberg still has another match this year and Cena is rumored to headline the event. Regardless of match length/quality you can't deny that it should be a huge draw.
