Someone explain to me why you'd give the babies the advantage in War Games.

The whole concept of the match this year is dumb.

Agreed. Someone is turning, and my first guess is Rhea Ripley.

There are stories on all Wrestling sites, including LOP, on how 'Rhea lost her confidence' after the Mania loss to Charlotte. Then she finally gets her rematch for the NXT Title and she loses to Io Shirai. So of the 4 members of the face team, Shotzi, Ember, Io and Rhea, Rhea is the obvious choice to turn heel.

It would lead to another match with Io for the NXT Title.

It's going to kind of suck if, for the second Women's WarGames match ever, they run almost exactly the same 'team member turns on their partners' story as they did with Kai/Nox last year.

And that's why it's a terrible idea to automatically run the same gimmicks every year and multiple on the same show. The heel advantage is an important part of the storytelling in that match.

Or, fuck the smart fans pointing that stuff out and just roll with what works.

With NXT, I feel they have the goodwill to let this odd choice be for a good reason. We'll see something take place, like a heel turn or an injury angle, to have it come all together.

Maybe they can do something with the heels somehow preventing access for the faces to get to the rings? I don't know how that would work in practice, but maybe they attack the officials and steal the keys to the faces cage at some point and that stops the next face getting into the ring? Just spitballing.

Pete Dunne being the tannest man on the For The Brand team is weird for me. He's from Birmingham, he should be pasty and Vitamin D deficient.

I would think that McAfee's group (The Kings?) has to win the War Games match. They only debuted as a faction within the past month or so, and if they lose, it takes all of the steam out of the faction. If they were a group for 6-8 months, then no problem, but with only just forming, and this being their first action as a faction, then they MUST win.

This will also help the UE as being pushed as faces. Faces are always better in the chase trying to catch the arrogant heel, and the UE trying to avenge their loss in WG will make for a better story.

Agreed Powder. In fact, the Kings group is so new that this doesn't feel like a feud that's strong enough to belong in the WarGames cage. As much as I find Adam Cole and the UE to be extremely lame and overrated (as a group; the other 3 members I enjoy when away from Cole), they've been on top of NXT for so long that other then Dunne, no one in the Kings really feels like a threat. The Lorcan/Birch team are amazing, but their less than stellar record isn't much at this time, and McAfee is still a non-wrestler who hasn't won a single match.

This probably won't be the blowoff, which is a damn shame since it's in War Games, so I imagine McAfee & Co. win with McAfee pinning either Cole or O'Reilly.

There was talk several months ago that O'Reilly and/or Cole were going to turn babyface and the rest of UE wasn't going with them. So maybe one of them losing can drive a bit of a wedge in there.

I don't like the concept of UE losing two straight War Games matches, but it kind of is what it is. I didn't book it.

I'm just hoping we don't get a stunt anything like last year. That was terrifying.

Changing gears for a second. There is a HHH quote out there saying that Karrion Kross can return at any second. Anyone think that the plan is to wait until Balor is fully healed to have the two of them feud? Kross has a legit beef in that he had to drop the title right after he won it due to injury, and then Balor gets injured but he gets to keep it? Could actually be a great way to for that feud to begin.



However, I was talking with Pen and I suggested that Kross' return should be held until he debuts on the main roster by having Scarlett come out and drop the hourglass of someone's feet, like Lashley or Zayn or IMO the Fiend's feet. Then the WWE can spend the entire year of 2021 building up Kross and Lee and have then face off at WM38 (2022) for the WWE or Universal title.
