  • 1. I worked for four of the five major NA promotions (AEW is now the fifth)
    2. My return to my home was one one of the best surprises and one of the loudest pops.
    3. You could argue that my gimmick inspired an all time great's.
    4. I am also known for taking a non-wrestling current event (at the time) and incorporating into a storyline, which then became part of my identity.
    5. My wrestling name was derived from my initial gimmick.
    6. bonus clue: I used the same fake injury angle twice.

No guesses at all yet? hmm....

      7. I am a multiple time top champion, and a 1x tag champion, but only in one promotion.

          • Oh shit it’s Sandman isn’t it.

wrestled for WWE, ECW, WCW, and TNA
i assume his return was an ECW thing after leaving WCW but I don’t remember it vividly
            inspired SCSA’s beer drinking
the Singapore cane was a current event after an American teenager (Michael Fay) was caned for theft and vandalism
the sandman name came from his original gimmick which I don’t know much about, but I think he went from that to the surfer gimmick to the sandman we all remember
the only injury angle I remember with him was the “blinding” angle, don’t remember him doing it twice but he very well may have

            • Yes on all accounts.

His return to ECW was a huge surprise and got one of the loudest pops with a small(er) crowd, and the VHS/DVD of that PPV is now entitled Re-Enter the Sandman.
And yes his name the Sandman derived from his original Surfer gimmick
Early in his ECW career, he was blinded by his former partner and he hit his wife Peaches, then later on that year he was blinded again.

              • 1) I had five very different gimmicks throughout my mainstream career (six if you count wrestling under my real name for a period)
                2) I was fired for my actions during a match
                3) During my final run in a mainstream organization I incorporated one of my personal passions into my character

                      • YES!

Smash, Krushev, Repo, Blacktop Bully, Mr. Hole in One, and Barry Darsow

My next clue was going to be that one of his gimmick names was a verb

                        • Might be too easy

                          1 - Comes from a wrestling family
2 - Mostly known for being adjacent to the animal kingdom
3 - Military experience, and was never dishonorably discharged

Was in the military, but not dishonorably discharged.

                            • I thought Orton was dishonorably discharged? That clue was purposely to essentially say it's not him. So no.

EDIT, according to Wikipedia, he has a "bad conduct discharge", so let's say this person never had a bad conduct discharge
