  • Clarification of clue 1.

    1. I have been a part of more than 1 wrestling family (remember a family is not always a biological).
    2. I may have the highest percentage of my televised singles matches being top title matches as 38% of my televised singles matches have been Top Title matches.
    3. I am also credited with a MAJOR first in the WWF/E.

        • Ric Flair?

not sure if you’re referring to family as kayfabe family with the Andersons, or potentially the Heenan family, which I don’t think was still considered active by the time Flair came to the WWF. Obviously he is part of a true wrestling family with David and Charlotte both having professional careers

he was champion so often that I could see him meeting the 38% number you referenced

first person to win the title in the WWF as a royal rumble winner.

          • Nope not Flair either.

            Let me clarify further...

Non-Biological families are NOT referencing wrestlers like the Andersons or the Heenan Family. BUT, how can non-biological people be related?

And a bonus clue to help: I have lost a title in a non-traditional wrestling match, and later I won the same style of match at a Wrestlemania.

              • Nope, not Bret, but you are getting there in how people can be related.

So far all of you are assuming something about the identity of this wrestler.

                  • It's fucking Sable

Playboy is a MAJOR first for you?

                    • Yup. Sable. Well done.

All of you were assuming I was talking about a man.

She was married to Marc mero, then to Brock Lesnar, which are two wrestling families.

She has only 13 televised singles matches and 5 of them were for the Women's Title.

She was the FIRST contracted WWE person to pose for Playboy, and it was absolutely huge. Her issue is still the highest selling issue ever, and it was a major main stream story. And Yes it was Major because of how big it actually was. she opened the door for a few others.

And She lost an Evening Gown match to Debra to lose the title, and then she won a tag team Evening Gown match at WMXX.

                      • You need to sleep with your wife more often.

I wasn't assuming anything. This is a wrestling "who am I?" Sable isn't someone most people will think of as a wrestler.
And Lesnar and Mero aren't wrestling families except by marriage. I get that it counts, but it's definitely not what most would think of as wrestling families, as we think of generations. If Sable and Brock have a kid who becomes a wrestler, it wouldn't have been as challenging a clue.

                        Either way, tough one.

                        • 1 - Post in-ring career not as controversial as my in-ring career
2 - Despite being (extremely) American, I was not born in the US
3 - I was a genuine main event star with a major singles push upon my debut, but ended up having much more success in the tag team division, which was extremely unlikely in kayfabe due to my most known gimmick.

                          • Kane.

Born in Spain, and now he is a Mayor in Knoxville TN, had a huge singles push, and Kane is a loner, but went on to become a 12x tag champion.

                                1. I created the first wrestling talk show, while other talk shows and some that are more famous talk shows debuted in the same year.
                                2. You could say that I was an inspiration for Kane in some respect.
                                3. I have been in 3 major motion pictures with another WWE Hall of Famer.
