  • Bobby Roode (if you count NXT as a world title)

    Comment

    • Not Bobby Roode.
      1. My name sounds like a parody of another wrestling legend.
      2. I am a three time world Champion
      3. I was responsible for another major star's nickname
      4. I am from a wrestling family and my famous family member broke in both my and someone that I'd be tied closely to for most of my career

        • Nope. One more that I think will probably give it away:

          5. I have wrestled for ECW, NJPW, WCW, AJPW, WWF, TNA, WWE and Impact Wrestling as well as being in one of Japan's most infamous matches.

          • Is it Sabu (real name: Terry Brunk)?

Clue four jumps out as being broken in by the Sheikh alongside RVD

            • That would be it!

Terry Brunk. Imagine. That's the name WWF would have given to a character in he Billionaire Ted skits.

He's a two time ECW and one time NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Chris Benoit was named the Canadian Crippler after Sabu suffered a broken neck in a match with Benoit. The Sheik broke in he and RVD, as you said. And Sabu worked for all of those companies, as well as being involved in the Ring of Fire Deathmatch which was one of Japan's most insane matches ever. They nearly cooked the Sheik.

              • Let’s give this a try

                1) I wrestled under a mask before and after my WWF run.
                2) I wrestled at six consecutive WrestleManias but only won one match.
                3) I have been managed by the likes of: Bobby Heenan, Jim Cornette, Skandar Akbar, Slick, Harley Race, and Freddie Blassie

                      1. I started my career late in life compared to most of my colleagues
                      2. At the peak of my career, for the first time my character name wasn't related to my actual name
                      3. Like AJ Styles, I debuted as a surprise at the Rumble, and like Styles I had a spotlight match at my first WM. Unlike Styles, I won.

                        • That is who I was also thinking, but he did not start his career later in life.

Only other people who I can think of who debuted at a Rumble were:

Lacey Evans, but she lost her first WM match in a fatal five way
El Gigante, but he lost to Taker
Vader, but his name never had anything to do with Leon White
Andrade, but he lost his first Wm match in the ARMBAR
Kharma, but she only had one WWE match, and that was the Rumble she was in.

                          • There are others, because no one has named him yet, but to help out, the term "debut" is more broad than you seem to be thinking.

                            • Wild shot in the dark here and not sure that I’m sold on my logic for clue number 2 but Lex Luger, who came onboard as the Narcissist with the WWF (though he insisted he continue to be referred to as Lex Luger in conjunction with the Narcissist moniker)

Here's more detail that might help because you're all going on the wrong direction. I worded my clues by design to be vague, but this might help.
