  • Brian Pilman?

He was in a feud in WCW and WWF with Steve Austin.

He grabbed Heenan by his surgically repaired neck and made him curse on live TV.

Not sure on the team from territory days.

    • Not Pillman. That was a very solid guess.

      EDIT

      1) I was almost part of an extremely over and well know team from the territory days.
      2) I had a heated feud with a former partner that spanned across territories.
      3) I was involved in a segment that included physicality with an almost untouchable announcer - during a debut of a new onscreen character
      4) I have been in the business with very few breaks since the late 70s. During this period I have worked almost exclusively for some of the largest territories/organizations in the business.

      • Apologies for the double post but I figured this might be a means of getting eyes on this next clue

        5) I received a WON most underrated wrestler award in the same year that I was also awarded for my participation in the worst worked match by the same publication.

          • Haha (In my best double J voice for no reason whatsoever)…yes

apparently was penciled in to be a member of the Fabs with Stan Lane before they settled on Steve Kiern

very bloody feud with Chris Adams that spanned Mid-South to World Class

during Heenan’s introduction of the Brooklyn Brawler on Prime Time, the Brawler assaulted Gorilla Monsoon. The Brawler was brought in as Heenan’s revenge on Taylor

taylor was in worst match of 1991 (scaffold match at GAB) and was awarded the most underrated wrestler as well, but he was an alleged Meltzer stooge so that award is even less meaningful than usual

            • I can't tell if this is too challenging or too easy.

              1 - I was trained in Germany
2 - I seemed to spend a majority of my career in tag teams and stables, but have also challenged for, and won, singles titles in major US promotions
3 - Despite my credentials as an amateur wrestler, which has been relevant to some of my gimmicks, my best known wrestling gear was professional

                  • Unfortunately incorrect.

Let me modify #3. His most known ring gear was over the top professional.

                          • This one will probably be pretty easy.
                            1. My name sounds like a parody of another wrestling legend.
                            2. I am a three time world Champion
                            3. I was responsible for another major star's nickname
