    • 1 - My name is almost my name
2 - There's multiple generations of my family in the business, but you wouldn't know it
3 - I'm somewhat associated with 2 movie horror villains

      • I don't think this will hit on the second clue, but what the heck....Corporal Kirchner

        • I can see where that might work, but not who I meant.

4 - I'm likely best known for my tag team success, but I had singles success before winning tag titles, and singles titles after my main tag team broke up.

          • Is it Rick Steiner?

            • 1 - Robert Rechsteiner
              2 - Bron Breakker
3 - Gremlin and Chucky (in WCW)
4 - Singles, then Steiner Bros, then won US title when Scott became poppa pump.

              So, correct!

              • Couldn’t quite place the second (Chucky) association, if for no other reason than that angle is best forgotten, but everything else fit. Not gonna lie clue four definitely got me there.

                1) I have a collegiate and pro sports background
                2) I was in the running for but lost out to another wrestler in what would have been my most seen movie role
                3) My early career was full of questionable gimmicks

                • I f'n knew it was Rick....SMH.

                  And Superstar Billy Graham?

He was originally considered to be Thunderlips in Rocky 3, and I think he played football.

                    • I’ll add a new clue and modify one

                      1) I have a collegiate and pro sports background
                      2) I was in the running for but lost out to another wrestler, who I teamed with on more than one occasion in what would have been my most seen movie role
                      3) My early career was full of questionable gimmicks
                      4) I’ve had a surprising number of gimmicks derived from movies - one was obvious, the others less so.

                      • I think I know this one (actually thought I had it from the first 3, pretty certain now). I'll give other people more of a chance because I don't have one good to go and my last one sucked the life out of the thread for days.....

                        • Well, as no one else has had a go I'll say I think it's Kevin Nash.

                          • It is indeed.

                            1) college basketball and pro basketball (in Europe)
                            2) was purportedly in the running for the Sabretooth role from the first XMen movie. Did it get the role as it went to Tyler Mane, who also wrestled and actually teamed with Nash (Mane was Big Sky) in Nash’s first WCW run
                            3) early gimmicks include, Master Blaster Steel, OZ, Vinnie Vegas
                            4) Oz is an obvious movie reference, however, according to Nash he based his Vinnie Vegas character on a lot of Steve Martin’s Vinnie character from My Blue Heaven. Additionally the Master Blasters are yet another gimmick grounded (at least in post-apocalyptic lore) in the Mad Max movies

                            • Trying to give a boost to the thread:

                              1. I have had 5 gimmicks in the WWF/E, and I am a Hall of Famer.
                              2. I made a huge mistake causing someone else to make history.
                              3. I got discovered by being in the right place at the right time while a movie with an actor who is tied to wrestling (but not a wrestling movie) was being filmed.

                              • This one jumped out at me but I wanted to give others time. I believe this is: Charles Wright (aka Sir Charles, Papa Shango, Kama the ultimate fighting machine, Kama Mustafa, The Godfather, the Goodfather)

Missed his cue at WM 8 and I believe Sid kicked out of the leg drop.

Discovered at a bar during the filming of Over the Top (may be wrong on the actual film)
