  • Fair enough, I was thinking that there was just a lull in this thread with all the other efed stuff that seemed to be going on. I’ll give it a bit of time and another clue and see if we get any traction.

    1) Beginning in the 1980s and running through the 2000s I wrestled or made appearances in every major North American promotion of my day.
    2) I held two world championships (one on three occasions and one on one occasion) in different promotions.
    3) I have managed or been associated with several world champions but only one while they were champion
    4) Despite having over 300 matches in my career, I only wrestled on three PPVs, but have taken part in many more than three PPVs.
    5) Based on my ring name you may think I came from a wrestling family, but I do not

    • Ah, I think I may have it, but I'll give people time to guess before I spoil it. If I'm right... Very good! I was barking up the wrong tree for a while.

Incidentally, Snow did debut against Kerry but not in WWE. And the list was his final PPV opponents in the WWE

So, I was 1 for 3 in my locking down Al Snow as the answer to your clues, I suppose by MLB standards that's still good (especially this year!!)

Looking like no takers on my clues. Before I add another clue, or pivot entirely, I wanted to see what your thought on this was....

        • Fair enough - if there are no takers I'll put my money where my mouth is and say I think it was Sherri Martel.

If that's right and you have another set of clues, feel free to move to your 'pivot' - I don't have anything ready to go, so....

          • It is Sherri indeed!

three time women’s champ in AWA and one time champ in WWF
managed/associated with: Shawn Michaels; Booker T; Randy Savage; Ric Flair (while WCW champ); Shane Douglas; Kurt Angle
wrestled at three ppvs: Survivor Series 1987 (women’s 5x5 tag match); WrestleMania 6 (Savage/Martel vs Rhodes/Sapphire); and World War 3 (against Col Robert Parker)

            • Alright try these then.

              1) I won many tag team championships with several different partners across the Southeastern US.
              2) I have appeared on PPV but never won a PPV match.
              3) As well as wrestling, I am very well known as a trainer.

              • I have two people in mind and frankly they could be way off. I’ll start with Nelson Royal

                • Believe it or not, but Nelson Royal has a 100% ppv record.

I don't expect anyone to know that of the top of their head, and it was a hell of a guess, but no. And his PPV record is an interesting historical tidbit.

                  • Second guess then...George South? I felt better about Nelson Royal

                        • Actually have another couple of clues, because I know you'll all know who this is so the clues must be a bit on the tough side.

                          1) I won many tag team championships with several different partners across the Southeastern US.
                          2) I have appeared on PPV but never won a PPV match.

                          5) I wrestled two brothers in PPV singles matches, less than six months apart.
                          6) I have strong, and diverse, associations with Florida.

                          • 7) for someone so associated with Southern Territories, I spent surprisingly little time in WCW.
                            8) I appeared, but not necessarily wrestled, at consecutive WrestleManias.
                            9) my tag team partners include a future WWF Champion, one of the Freebirds, and two members of one of the most famous tag teams of all time.
