  • The obvious answer is Ric Flair, but I'm guessing that's a trick.

    • Yes, it's a trick...not Flair, as he won his first World Title in 1981 and his last in 2000, which is 'only' 3 decades (80's, 90's 00's), not 4.

      • Moolah?

        • Moolah actually won a top tile in 5, yes 5!! different decades, but she is not who I was thinking of, and besides, I do not think she ever lost a title controversially (she won one in controversy in the Original Screwjob), nor did she have issues with a vehicle.

If no one gets this by tomorrow, I will add another clue.

          • 1. I have won a top title in 4 different decades.
            2. I lost one of my championships by very controversial means.
            3. I nearly died from an accident with a vehicle.

            4. I was a Tag Champion 1 time, and I retired the person with whom I won the Tag Titles.

                6. I was initially called a copy of another (at the time) much more famous wrestler.

                • OK, OK, here is another clue that might help you figure out who this is:

                  1. I have won a top title in 4 different decades.
                  2. I lost one of my championships by very controversial means.

                  6. I was initially called a copy of another (at the time) much more famous wrestler.

                  7. Much of my initial success was a complete fabrication and extension of the actual truth.

                    • YES! Good job Prime!

                      1. I have won a top title in 4 different decades.

                      90s, 00s, 20-teens, and 20s

                      2. I lost one of my championships by very controversial means.

Lost WCW title by the use of a cattle prod, which was not well received.

                      3. I nearly died from an accident with a vehicle.

While filming a breaking of a car window spot in WCW, Goldberg got a little heated and dropped the metal 'breaker' and punched through a window and severed an artery, and lost so much blood, where he could have died.

                      4. I was a Tag Champion 1 time, and I retired the person with whom I won the Tag Titles.

He won the WCW tag titles with Bret Hart, and then about a week or two later kicked him in the head and ended Hart's career.

Bonus Clue: I was once stretched in a match by a "Titled" wrestler.

Goldberg vs LORD Steven Regal was stiff as hell and Regal exposed and stretched Goldberg, but still did the job.

                      6. I was initially called a copy of another (at the time) much more famous wrestler.

Goldberg was called WCW's Steve Austin b/c of his look and ring gear.

                      7. Much of my initial success was a complete fabrication and extension of the actual truth.

The streak was almost 100% fabrication on the amount of wins.

                      • 1. I made my debut against one of the von Erichs
                        2. I am known for having multiple bad gimmicks inflicted upon me by the WWE
                        3. Christian, Tazz, Boss Man, Bob Holly, Gangrel.

                            • The von Erich clue didn't quite sit with me, but I am assuming he was booked as a prelim talent in the early 90s against Kerry, when Kerry was Texas Tornado.
He had a bunch of horrible gimmicks in the WWF before redefining his character in ECW
For the last clue I have a theory, it's the people he beat for the hardcore title?

I have an outstanding set of clues that never got answered back before this thread took a break, so I will give it a shot, but if I don't get any takers, I will pivot

                              1) Beginning in the 1980s and running through the 2000s I wrestled or made appearances in every major North American promotion of my day.
                              2) I held two world championships (one on three occasions and one on one occasion) in different promotions.
                              3) I have managed or been associated with several world champions but only one while they were champion
                              4) Despite having over 300 matches in my career, I only wrestled on three PPVs.

                              • I have to say if no one answered it for several weeks, it might not be such an outstanding set of clues. That being said, it might just be more challenging than I can handle.
