  • 1. I worked for NJPW, WCW, WWF and ECW for my main wrestling organizations.
    2. I am probably best known for my finishing maneuver, which I technically did not invent, but I am credited as popularizing it.
    3. I never won a title in the WWF/E, bit I did in WCW and ECW.

    • 2 Cold Scorpio? He fits everything and I'm wondering if clue 2 isn't directing us at the 450 Splash

      • YES...

In researching the 450 splash, Scott Steiner of all people is credited at first performing the move, but was sloppy and did not do it that well. Then Scorpio adopted it and it took off.

        Scott Steiner 450 circa 1987.

        • that was a 450 I guess

          1. I wrestled for the WWF sporadically in the mid-80s under a mask
          2. I have wrestled at two WrestleManias but appeared at more than two
          3. I never had a positive Win/Loss record until after the year 2000

                  • Steve Lombardi. He had a few masked gimmicks in the 80s as Kimchee, and the Red Knight, and was always Enhancement talent, even under his initial Brooklyn Brawler push. But after 2000 he got his wins in the independent circuit.

                    • Not Lombardi. Looks like Lombardi had dark marches at WMs 6 and 7. I can’t find an indication that he was involved in another WrestleMania beyond those two though.

                      UPDATE

                      1. I wrestled for the WWF sporadically in the mid-80s under a mask and always under the same gimmick name.
                      2. I have wrestled at two consecutive WrestleManias but appeared at more than two
                      3. I never had a positive Win/Loss record until after the year 2000
                      4. I won a single WON award, but not one to be proud of.

                      • Any chance this is Danny Davis AKA Dangerous Danny Davis AKA Mr. X - the masked wrestler?

He would have appeared in a few WMs as a referee, and I think he wrestled at 2 of them.

His WON award was for Worst Feud with George Steele

                          • Damn...that one was no fun....

                            1. I have wrestled in 5 different decades.
                            2. I earned my most famous nickname/gimmick from a participating in a match that I was not wrestling in.
                            3. I only held one title in the WWF.

                            • That's a few in a row that I had the right answer (Haku, Danny Davis), but it didn't fit all the clues somehow. Hard to imagine Danny Davis having a wining record after 2000.

                              Brutus Beefcake?

                              • Yes Beefcake

Beefcake started wrestling in 1979, and wrestled in 2015. 5 different decades.

He got the Barber name after his match at WM3, he stuck around and ended up helping Piper beat Adonis in a hair vs hair gimmick, and he was the one to cut Adonis' hair, and thus became the Barber.

His one title was the WWF Tag Championship
