  • This is a really good one. Been thinking about it for a few days and I still can’t quite land on someone that hits on all the clues. I feel like the military man and hired assassin clue should be what allows me to narrow this down but I also think there is a play on words in there somewhere - like the subject of the clues was a member of one of the main tag teams that were dubbed the Assassins. I’ll go ahead and guess Barbarian for now despite the fact that I believe he was in more than one Rumble. He was part of Paul Jones’ army and part of the super assassins (with Warlord). I think he wrestled for all the mentioned organizations and you didn’t say it was an exhaustive list so you didn’t have to mention WCW. He probably subbed for Vader at some point when they were wrestling under the managerial services of Harley Race....so yeah...Barbarian

    • No, not Barbarian.

            • BK has it. Zhukov, or Private Jim Nelson, was bought in to one territory as a hired assassin by Skandor Akhbar, and replaced Iron Sheik as Volkoff's tag partner (forming The Bolsheviks in the process).

              • I am 0-5 at Clash of Champions in my career, but only wrestled at four Clashes.
                I am 1-3 at NWA/WCW PPVs.
Of nine matches referenced above, I only wrestled three under the name most associated with my wrestling persona.

                        • So from the clues I'm guessing he wrestled twice at a clash, probably under a different gimmick.

So I'm guessing Jack Victory, I think he performed under a number of different gimmicks at the time?

                          • That's a decent shout - if they needed to put someone under a mask in those days it was usually him.

                              • Gooner got it. Well played. I refrained from mentioning wrestling under a hood because I thought that would give it away. He did pull double duty at a clash, one match in a mask and one as himself against Lex Luger. All four clashes he wrestled at were in 1989 coincidentally, but there were five clashes in 1989 so he didn’t wrestle on every clash that year.
