  • Yeah, not surprised. Was a wild stab in the dark to be honest. Ah well, got the ball rolling at least.

    • Every time I think I've got good clues, someone gets them quickly, so I tried to increase the difficulty on this one. I hope people enjoy it, but I suspect someone will swoop in with the right answer soon enough.

      • It has something with a Cowboy obviously and someone with a lisp.

Dustin Rhodes? he did have a brief cowboy gimmick.

Not sure if he has a lisp as well.

              • Any chance this is Scott Hall?

He was once called Texas Scott....

Trained by Dusty, so he hates the letter S for him.

Clearly reaching on the last clue.

                • Oh hang on. Bret Hart?

I don't know for sure that he would have been called the most improved wrestler of the 1980s, but it sounds like something they would have said on commentary when he turned heel in the WWF during the Hart Foundation days.

                  Briefly 'Cowboy' Bret Hart.

And for the last clue, I'm turning my mind to the famous Austin promo: 'If you put the letter S before Hitman.....'

                  • Dammit. I bet that is right. I knew that Vince initially wanted Bret as a cowboy, but I could not find any connection to the letter S, which is why I ruled him out. But the '(S) Hitman' promo is it.

                    well done.

                    • Prime with the win.

And yes, Gorilla called Bret the most improved wrestler of 1986 often.

                      • That was a good one, actually. One of those that if you forget the promo you'd have a hard time making the connection to that clue, but once it comes back to you the whole thing falls into place.

                        1) I was the replacement for a former world champion.
                        2) I was both a military man and a hired assassin.
                        3) I once made an appearance in the Royal Rumble match.

                        • 4) As well as working for the WWF, I wrestled across a large number of different territories, including for World Class, Mid-Atlantic, and the AWA.
