Looking over who they've used so far this year, not too many names I recognize. Could be a nice chance to discover some new faces.

Hopefully! I don't really know what to expect anymore but we'll see, I guess. I suppose it can't have changed all THAT much.
I have no clue who is on the cards which might be a COVID thing, why advertise people who might have to drop out.

The BritWres scene seems to have been particularly decimated but hell, a live wrestling experience is always fun in my book!

So Revpro have a few shows about a half hour drive from my house. Never been to one of theirs before but think I might just to be somewhere new now that things are opening again.

That is interesting... I could see it being a good thing but wrestling history is rife with clueless athletic commissions handing down nonsensical rules. Hopefully won't see that happen here.

This is interesting. The parliamentary group investigating wrestling following speaking out has recommended that - even though the shows themselves be treated as a performance - that pro wrestling training be considered as a sport. In short, that'll mean it comes under all the same safeguards that there in place for people training in football or cricket or whatever.

Yes indeed. The thing to remember is that there hasn't been many times over the years where the channel has had a million viewers over the course of a week, so you can imagine how much trade the wrestling was doing. So, the inclination to keep detailed records.... the number of people it takes to sift those guys out, I just imagine they won't be there.

I suspected it was the Welsh promotion when I saw Orig! I've seen them once before, looking forward to checking them again.

The difference between this and WoS is that it's not on a general sport show, but on it's own thing - Reslo, broadcast exclusively on the Welsh language channel. So you won't find football results or anything like that that will help you to date it. Nor are you really likely to find in-depth details on any of the usual research channels online, a lot of which exists for World of Sport. Probably only a handful of people saw this, ever, so finding out info is going to be so much harder than for WoS.
Best just to say it's in the 1980s, and get what you can out of it, I reckon!

Ha! Fair enough. The single solitary complaint I have with this old UK/World of Sport footage is that it's so hard to date, for a guy like me who likes to keep track of what's what and watch was folks develop it makes it a bit of a headache! But even so, that's going straight on the watch list for me!

Sometime in the 1980s, but I can't be more specific than the date range on the playlist.
Not speaking the lingo doesn't help!

Mmm, NXT UK has both helped and hindered the UK scene - it's got a higher profile and more eyes on the wrestling the UK produces, but also has sucked off the top level of talent leaving a little void, not least because there wasn't much time to transition to new people topping cards who aren't a little bit wet behind the ears.

Looking at the card and not too many names I recognize. Between relying on imports and NXT UK hoovering up so much talent, I think things may be a bit sparse for British indie wrestling again.
