These were my exact thoughts when I saw this pairing.

I hope this doesn't follow the recent trend of putting two people together who don't get along at first, then find success and become friends, eventually breaking up when something goes wrong.

I'm not sure Royce & Lacey are going to be a tag team going forward, or at least not a full-time/long term one. I think it was done more to set up a feud between the two.

You'd have disagreed with the article even more than me then because it was saying them losing last night was a problem.

To be honest though I don't think they'll ever be seen as dangerous and think their best role will always be as the heels who get beat and then talk their heat back. They might break out of that from time to time to switch things up but that will be their bread and butter.

They'll likely take the fall, but it doesn't exempt them from being dangerous going forward.

I saw someone saying after last night they should be 'one of the most dangerous teams in the sparse division.' Someone doesn't seem to get their value is as the team that takes the fall

I think the disconnect is they feel like they are acting as heels, rather than really coming off as awful people, so you applaud the work rather than react viscerally.

In a situation where I was booking the show, I'd certainly be persevering with them. There's something there, even if they are far from the finished article.

I think I'm in line with you there, Pen - and ultimately, they entertain me.

I'm a fan of their act, and critiques of their in-ring abilities feel unjustified. They might be average and somewhat sloppy at times, but that really goes for a lot of younger talent. I haven't done any actual research, but I would guess the average in ring experience for the mens roster is about double what it is for the women. Women's wrestling is still growing and the roster shouldn't have the same expectations as we do for the men.

To me, what matters for all wrestlers is can they tell the story needed. The Iconics tell the story of heel annoying twats who connive victories through heelish means, and they accomplish that. You don't need to be a ring general to tell that story, so I don't expect 5 star matches out of them.

The only negative to their act is I enjoy them, and they are heels. I can't tell if that's a mistake on my end, or theirs. I know they aren't cool heels, but I was happy they won last night, so there's a disconnect somewhere.

    They're back! I'm so happy!

Thought they did well on the promo last night, and looked in sync in the ring still. I think the women's tag division probably needed them back, too, so hopefully they get a good run now.

Thank goodness. The women's tag division has been struggling without any decent teams to go against Asuka/Sane. Partly their lack of defences are due to Sane getting her injury at TLC, but there's such a lack of opponents for them having had Royce and Kay off TV since November just took another option off the table.

I disagree, but if they are being repackaged, I wish they would have moved them to NXT. Working with the Performance Center will likely do more to repackage them and get creativity surrounding them than being sent home.
