Even in a fractured timeline Cap still has that awkwardness in watching Sharon grow up lol.

More news coming out of D23 this weekend... She-Hulk, Ms Marvel, and Moon Knight will all be getting their own shows on Disney+. Also, there’s supposedly an agreement with Sony concerning Spider-Man coming very soon. Rumor has it Disney will now be putting up 50% of production costs and taking 30% of the box office. Tom Hardy’s Venom will be merged into the MCU, as well, and after the untitled third Spidey film, there will be another 6 picture deal for Tom Holland. (A second trilogy, plus taking a larger role in the Avengers movies.) There were a few other things with the deal that I forget... something about merchandise rights for Disney and Sony being able to develop tv shows with their Into The Spiderverse stuff or something along those lines.

Yeah, I forget where I read that. It came up while I was checking other announcements from D23. It honestly could’ve been some click-bait bullshit web site; I’m not entirely sure. Regardless, it does seem it was just that... a rumor and nothing more.

It would be nice for a resolution to emerge on the Spidey front, honestly, but I'm not the type of fan who'll lose too much sleep if it isn't. I would like him to continue in the MCU if it becomes possible, but with the MCU already flirting with, and seemingly set to actively embrace the notion of a multi-verse there are in-universe ways they can explain away his departure. I'm sure they'd figure out how to do it smoothly. It'd just be a bit of a shame.
I am beginning to get concerned with how much content the MCU is soon to be putting out, though. I don't want this to become a WWE situation where there's just too much to keep up with, or where you have to not watch anything else at all to manage to keep up with it. Connections are cool and all, but I'm not quite as prepared to watch three movies and three TV series a year as I am to watch three movies a year alone! Hopefully whatever grand story they're planning next can be enjoyed with one or the other, and not just both.

Finally watched Far From Home and really enjoyed it! Makes me sad that they probably won't be able to use Holland anymore, he's a delight. The JK Simmons cameo was my favorite, nobody has ever been more perfectly cast.

I don’t see how you can’t be a fan of MCU Spidey. Tobey Maguire made a good Peter Parker but a lousy Spider Man, and Andrew Garfield was the complete opposite, but Tom Holland has nailed both aspects of the character. To each their own, I suppose.

I guess I get that. Their relationship on screen was a throwback to the comics, though. There was a point where Stark gave Peter a job and designed the Iron Spider suit for him. During the Civil War story, Tony gets Peter to unmask in front of the world as a demonstration of support for the Superhero Registration Act, and Peter does it despite having his reservations because of the relationship they had built. So at least there is a basis for the MCU relationship between the two, and they weren’t just throwing around shit for the fun of it.
