    • Only really interested in Thor and and Blade (i'm not sure there's a need for more Blade tho.. Not sure how it fits in today). Fantastic Four and X-men being held off but coming eventually is fine but the rest of the projects do not excite me at all, even if I may watch them lol.. That may change once I read Shang Chi.

I mean, I'm not going to see Black Widow, Eternals, Doctor Strange in theaters pretty much no matter what. Nice break Marvel has given me.

      • They still haven't really said what Blade will be involved in either. Standalone movie? Series? Supporting role in another movie?

Eternals I don't know much about but I do like the cast.

        • Of those announced, Thor and Doctor Strange are the ones that most attract me (especially Doctor Strange, fave character in the MCU, which I know is not the most popular opinion). Still looking forward to Guardians 3 and Loki TV series too though.

Blade I have to think is an R rated movie. All their series are on Disney plus and I doubt they would want Blade to be on that service.

            • So I just re-watched Civil War, and in it Peggy Carter passes away, and Her niece Sharon Carter delivers her eulogy. In Winter Soldier, Cap kisses Sharon, and during the eulogy she implies that that she wants more with Cap.

Then in Endgame we are not told directly, but it is heavily implied that when Cap goes back to have a wife and a life, that he was the one to be Peggy’s husband, this making him Sharon's Uncle.

The MCU, has been very careful with their continuity, but this must have been an oversight, because if Cap does marry Peggy, then there is some incest in the MCU.

              • In Winter Soldier, Cap didn’t know she was Peggy’s niece. Nothing more came of it after his discovery. I’d say it’s a no harm, no foul situation. Plus, I’m pretty sure when he stayed in the past, that splintered off into a new time line, so in a way, he never kissed Sharon since that would’ve been a different Cap during Winter Soldier.

                • Definitely splintered into a new timeline. They made it very clear the past is the past and cannot be changed. Any changes cause a new timeline.

                  • Regardless of a new splintered timeline, Sharon Carter still exists and is Peggy’s niece. And if the past cannot be changed Cap still kisses her.

                    • Even though it’s the same Cap to the viewing audience that kisses Sharon during the events of Civil War, once he stays in the past with Peggy, he ceases to be that version of Cap from what we’ve seen. So... the Steve that ends up growing old with Peggy isn’t the same Steve that kisses her niece 70 years later.

                      • It seems like one of those inconsequential details that impacts very little and is probably worth just allowing the storytellers a little creative licence with it. Introducing time travel into any story is always going to create issues you can't resolve. I think it's always a case of knowing there'll inevitably be holes emerge as a result, but overall looking at how well it's handled. And while the MCU has issues because of the decision to introduce time travel, I thought it was generally handled very well - if only via the attempted catch-all solution of parallel timelines, that also seems to be what'll inform the Loki Disney+ series.

The implied logic in this instance would be that when Cap goes back to the 60s and lives a life with Peggy, it's a whole new parallel timeline in which there's no guarantee that Sharon is born, and even if she is isn't tied to living the same life because the moment Cap appears when he shouldn't be is the moment the timelines diverge, leading to a new reality.

They only really shot themselves in the foot when they decided to start getting cute and pretending old Steve as at Peggy's funeral in Civil War. I think that's stupid, and I'll choose to ignore the notion.

                        • Looks like Spider Man is out of the MCU for now at least.

UPDATED at 8:55p.m. PT with Sony response: Sony Pictures spent much of yesterday putting its perspective on the prospective loss of Kevin Feige from future Spider-Man films. First the studio downpl…

                            • So corporate greed has ruined the Spider-Man franchise twice now? I count the first fail on Tobey. Just gutted and annoyed. There is a big audience for the Tom Holland Spider-Man franchise. This is just ridiculous.

As for Plan mentioning how any creative endeavor involving time travel is going to have holes in logic, I welcome you to Dark on Netflix. Flawless through 2 seasons, and as twisting as a San Francisco road.

I thought they handled it well in Endgame, mostly. Beyond the fact that Strange could have reversed time so Iron Man didn't wind up dying before Cap returned the stones.

Also, I choose to accept that the timeline didn't change, and Cap made out with his great niece, then had to live with that dirty little secret for nigh 80 years. Far more amusing that way.

                              • ^Might be more amusing, but it blatantly disregards what they said in the movie.
