      • So, Braverman is still in post, but another of his allies, Gavin Williamson (who'd already had to resign from government twice in the past), has had to quit, which is being interpreted as a blow to his credibility as it's come so early.

          • Ok so what I saw slightly misrepresented it: he was sacked the first two times rather than resigning.

            But in 2019 he was defence secretary and he leaked information and May found that he was now a security risk. And then he came back as Johnson's education secretary and ultimately was sacked after losing the confidence of teachers.

            ​​​​​​The short version is he's a noted piece of shit who is good at the dark arts of politics, so once he's served someone he gets a government job as a reward: but is still, ultimately, a piece of shit.
