Round 1 Update

OK, so we have nine. That's a few less than I was hoping for, but given who they are I'm willing to give it a bash. If we lose a couple of players, though, and don't pick any up as the season progresses, then this might come to a crashing halt. I'm abandoning any plans for a league split, given the number of players involved. Right now we'll have an FA Cup contest and your sole goal is not to be in last place at the cut-off. That may change if we get some late comers in this most unusual of seasons.

I race out to an early lead - and no, that has nothing to do with the decision to try and run it. Maverick is two points behind, and Smiffy is two points behind that, with the entire pack within three points of him. Not a lot to choose between any of us on this first weekend, to be honest, and with no bonuses given out it's a very easy table. Mo Salah got the hat trick so that bonus is already dead. For the first time in year's, there was no red card in the opening round - thanks to Kyle Walker-Peters having his cancelled out by VAR.

Round 2 Update

We've given out our first bonus points, for Jack Grealish being at Villa at the end of the window. Kieran Gibbs got the first red card so there's no points given out for that one. Maverick outscored me to pull level at the top this time, while Gooner was the player of the round. As you'd expect at this stage of the season, lots of movement as everything still shakes itself out.
