Original version easily, Outlawz added a nice wrinkle but the face version while good for some laughs, doesn't entertain me in the least.

X-pac soloing in Mexico in a DX outfit and entering to the DX entrance music is the funniest by far.

Rick Rude was the "insurance policy" for the Original DX so maybe he should be added to that original incarnation of DX. For me its a hard choice. The original DX kind of made me hate them and like them at the same time. They were doing and saying some fairly controversial things for the time period. At the same time DX kind of exploded with popularity during that second incarnation. EVERYONE in highschool was saying "suck it" and doing crotch chops. They were wildly popular. I'll vote for the original with a strong nod to that second version.
That D-Mex a friggin abomination. Pac trying to live off of 1998. He should have brought in the Outlaws and ran a muck. Not sure how many of you watch AAA, but D-Mex was SUPER LAME. They did all the goofy antics of the original D-Mex only not as entertaining. I felt bad for Kozlov and Romero for having to be in that lame ass faction. They should have brought Kozlov in as a solo guy or just teamed him with Romero and put them into the AAA tag division at worst.

I have gone with V2, although the Outlaws should have been in before Shawn left and that would have been the best. In others words, DX 98 was my favourite in both carnations.

Oh you know Hornswoggle just makes DX.

First favorite original Degeneration X of course!
Second choice is the new age DX, it's painful having to tolerate Hornswoggle though. I don't even want to get started on D-Mex, that's definitely the worst tag team of all time.

lol Olga I think I know what you would say about D-Mex and the atrocity that faction was.
D-Mex sucked because of the gimmick and the leader(XPac) they were saddled with. I don't know who the fuck thought it was a good idea. Surprised Konnan didn't name the Legion Extranjera the nWo-Mexico. They already swagga jacked the invasion/takeover storyline .

I agree. Someone had to vote for that version, I took the honours. Mainly because it's only this version I have seen.

While it wasn't the best, the McMahon-Helmsley Era DX is actually highly underrated.

97-98: Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna (original)
I practically stopped watching WWE when Bret and Shawn were trying to out-heel each other so this version is one I am not fond of. 98-99: Triple H, X-Pac, New Age Outlaws, Chyna I thought this version was VERY good. Of course I was a big fan of the NAO! 99-00: (McMahon/Helmsley Era) Triple H, X-Pac, New Age Outlaws I could never see Vinnie as a member of DX so to speak. 06-07: Triple H, Shawn Michaels My favorite version! Come on, weren't these guys funnier with all the stuff they pulled on Vinnie and Shan-O Mac? 09: Triple H, Shawn Michaels w/ Hornswagle (current) I can't tolerate Hornswoggle. |

I voted for the second version, with Triple H, X-Pac, Chyna, and the Outlaws.
In late 1997, many of the promos and interviews just seemed to drag on and were kind of annoying. The product just seemed to be disorganized and lacked some direction. Just my opinion, and I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with that. The original DX did interviews and antics that just dragged on after a while, got annoying after a while. |

Version 2 with Outlaws and X-Pax, if for nothing else then just the parody of the Nation..
The original is a very close second. Nothing says DX more than a cocky, brash HBK.. Not even HHH or anyone else in V2. The only reason I enjoyed the 98-99 stint more was cuz a) They had a longer run and b) V1 just had way too few members. Anything after that has been an unsuccessful attempt to cash in Nostalgia and revive the flame. It'll at best work only for shorter periods like it did to an extent in '06. The present version has run its legs I feel. It will not go much further work unless they get some real new members who fit with the DX mould, like The Miz and Ryder.

Anything that has anything to do with the New Age Outlaws automatically gets my vote.
That is all.

Gotta go with V2 in a photo finish over V1. Although a Heel HBK was classic, the NAO put me over the fence. I coulda done with out X-pac altogether.

The one with Rick Rude, who is the only member of any form of DX that I like.

I preferred the second version with Chyna, X-Pac and the Outlaws. I missed out on the original so I have no feelings towards it. The last two versions don't mean much as I feel like Shawn & HHH are there to peddle their merchandise. The McMahon-Helmsley era actually made me lose interest in wrestling and it made me stop watching for a few years.
