Introduction: I'm 22 I'v watched wrestling for as long as i can remember.




Look ya im just a young fella from ireland but my view counts as much as skittlez, mazza, joey shinobi (no disrespect), but it does. I'v been a fan of wwe for all my life, and never watched dubya c dubya as I was never inerested in their product. My lifelong goal is to be a promoter of this sport (and yes to all you fuckheads out there who dont think its a sport ur wrong), to brin it to these shores on a national level as it wud be a serious market. Anyway I'm sick of reading all you yanks opinions on the wweS product.


What none of ye seem to have gotten is that the wwe has gone 20 years into the past with its product. 20 years ago we had Hulk Hogan ( the original hhh in my opinion (hollywod hulk hogan)) being the imortal hero for the usa and its youth. You cant blame Vinnie mac for wanting to try and go bak to then with this pg era. Its to get more fans you fools, a rebirth if you will..


We grew up wit the F/E as we got older so did it, we hit puberty we got the attitude era (the greatest era in wrestling history). But while we got that younger fans were left behind trying to understand a product aimed at an older generation.....


Which brings us to the pg era. WWE needs new fans, full stop. For everyone of us that loves the sport theres 3 more who used to and have stopped watching. I see it in my friends, there love for Wrasslin is fading and i think Vince is taking the chance n loosing the older fans in the hope he'll make more with his family orientated program.


And lads as for the superstars of the wwe and any of them being bad, I'd honestly love to see any of ye make a better show out of the bad scripts.

So many problems here, it's your first shot, so ill give you a break.

1. Grammar. Capital letters where they shouldn't be, and some words that require it, aren't capitalized. Also, your paragraphs got shorter from start to end.

2. Ideas. You had a good idea, but the surface wasnt even scratched on.

3. Length. This was way too short to even be a column. You could put all this together in one or two paragraphs, and add more to it. Even a couple different topics would be fine here.

4. Feedback. If you're writing in here, expect to get feeback, even if you tell us not to. Telling us not to give you feedback gives the implication that you don't give a shit, and if you don't give a shit, then you shouldnt be here.

5. Flaming. Calling us Lazy Bastards because we dont like the product that Raw is putting out is ignorant. Everyone has different tastes, and appearantly you like the current Raw product, while some of us may not. If you want to show us why Raw is good, write a column about it. If you want to bitch and flame about stuff, go to the FFA.

You can do better, and ill be reading you next time.

Cheers for de feedback. No matter what its always good. that was a drunken rant to get me started i promise better columns this was the tip of the iceberg. I dont like the product on RAW at the mo. but you got to watch to be able to judge........................

This was poor. Very poor. Your grammer is atrocious and gets worse the further into this "column" someone reads. It seems that you were out to offend as many people as possible here, starting with calling all the people who don't consider it a sport "fucktards". Here's a news flash for you; the result is pre-determined. While I have a large amount of respect for what the wrestlers have to go through and the physical demands it takes on there bodies it is not a sport because there is no real contest.

What's the point in you posting the column if you don't want the feedback, and you don't want to discuss the issue that your raising? Seriously, that's the whole point to the columns forum, to improve as a writer and to generate discussion of wrestling issues. Not to come in here and flame everyone just because they have a different opinion to you. That's not on no matter what part of the board you post in, outside of the FFA of cause.

If you don't want people to read your work, what's the point in posting it, or better yet, writing it to begin with? And if you do want people to read your work, how exactly does calling them fuckheads, lazy bastards and fools help get people to read your work again?

The idea you had here of trying to defend the current product is a good one, but you really need to expand the idea and make an arguement and provide reasons or examples as to why your opinion is true. It's great that your okay with the current product, how about you tell us why? You didn't do that here and since that was the point of the whole column I think you have failed.

Not everyone on here is American either, so I don't know what the point of singeling out all the american's was. The same thing about someone qouting the price of Summer Slam as a reason not to buy it. Not everyone is as dedicated as you to the product and not everyone has the money to buy the PPV's. In addition to that, not everyone is comfortable using streams. Some people consider it stealing and don't agree with it from a morale standpoint.

I also have to say that it is ridiculous that you would say that you are a life long fan, then say that the WWE needs new fans, and then get the name of the PPV wrong and say that people should stream the event. Streaming hurts the WWE as every person who streams the event is a person who isn't paying to see it.

If you ever bother to write another column, you are going to need a massive change in attitude. This sort of attitude to your column writing will just get you hated here very quickly. Additionally, you are going to need to proofread your work for spelling mistakes and to make sure that you are using actual words. For example: ye is not a word. If you had proofread this piece, you should have picked up on these errors before they happened.

Basically, you have a lot of improving to do to even become a average columnist. Your attitude sucks, as does your grammer, punctuation and exploring of ideas. I'm not going to read you again because your attitude has convinced me that you aren't worth having a second chance. That said, good luck to you if you decide to have another go.

Your view does count as much as mine, now all you have to do is get people to care about your opinion. Finding the caps button would be a good start, I am not sure if they have them on Irish PCs though. There are two ways in which you can do this.

1. Hold down the button that says "Shift" and then tap the letter you would like to capitalise.

2. Tap the button that says "Caps Lock" and then tap on the letter you want to capitalise and then tap on "Cap Lock" one more time.

As for you being the judge on what makes a dedicated fan, please don't make me laugh. I have been watching WWE for almost as long as you have been alive, I have seen the highs and lows of the company and Raw right now sucks big time. A lot of have lives away from this business and when you have a couple of free hours a day for entertainment, watching a film is a lot better than sitting through the tripe that Raw continuously produces on a week to week at the moment. I owe Vince nothing and if he produces shite, I won't tune in to watch it for two hours.

I seriously hope that you do not try your hand at this again.

As for this column, it was piss poor from start to finish. If you want any chance of becoming a columnist here, then re-register and don't tell anyone that this "attempt" was yours. The fact that Vikodin and Glacier left feedback longer than your column says it all.

Make a genuine effort, take your feedback on board and feedback around other work. Otherwise you might as well not bother cos no1 will bother with you.

If you've never watched WCW or anything besides the WWE, you've never watched wrestling and wouldn't have a fucking idea how to promote it at all, much less on a national level to create a serious market. You can't even spell or grammatize correctly. Apologize for it being a drunk rant all you want, but if you can't take the time to come in here and write a proper column, don't bother. At least us Main Pagers make an effort to write something worth reading. I'd say you bit off more than you can chew, but the real truth is that you're wasting more bandwidth than you can fill.
