Hi guys, I’m Little Sneak and I’m here for another attempt at writing columns! Personal life has gotten in the way so there has been quite a delay in me posting this column. I was really eager to get a column out but I just did not have any idea what to do! So I checked the column ideas thread to open my mind and found just the thing. On today’s agenda, I will be defending the idea of having two Womens Titles and giving you people 10 reasons why RAW IS a good show and giving some random thoughts. Here goes nothin’
![]() I know the picture is a little old but it’s the best one I could find! As you know there are two womens titles in the WWE. As I’m a girl I felt it would be necessesary to defend my fellow females! The Womens title has been around for many years and it was a real honour for any female to have the belt. As a new belt called the Divas Championship had been introduced last summer, certain people have criticized the decision for the belt to be added. Let me explain what is so good about having another belt: Firstly, the belt gives ladies on both brands, something to fight for. For many years, divas with little wrestling skill were just jobbing to other divas that were in contention for the title. With the way things are now, divas such as Layla and Eve Torres can actually be put in a match with the champion so that they look strong to any casual fan. What this also does is help rivalrys emerge which mean there are more matches for the divas which also means they will improve quicker. Therefore in the long run, the match quality overall, will be much higher. How great is that? I’m sick of hearing men say they “take a piss break” during the divas matches. Fine, do it if you want, but don’t go bragging about it just to hop on the bandwagon to be with the “in-crowd”. So apparently the match last night featuring Gail Kim and Mickie James wasn’t that good, but they aren’t as strong as you men and they also aren’t as tough. That’s why I think certain people shouldn’t jump down their throats when they botch a move. I’m ranting a bit now, but my point is that an extra divas title has its positives which far outweigh the negatives. The only negative is that there is an extra match at NOC, but both of them matches were quality. It’s not as if an extra Womens title means there is an extra match on RAW or Smackdown! So come on guys, stop complaining about the extra Divas Title and just accept the fact that it is here to stay!! Might I add that this is enabling you guys to drool over the Divas for just a little longer. Even you can’t deny looking at their hot bods is a guilty pleasure. ![]() Obviously because I am a girl I am different from all of you men, but here are 10 reasons why I think RAW is a good show. 1. John Cena- I love John Cena and he is so beautiful, so obviously when he is on RAW, I am absolutely delighted. You couldn’t find that on Smackdown, could you? I also take great enjoyment out of mimicking his signature taunts*blush*, 2. Shawn Michaels- He is my one of my favourite wrestlers and his return on Monday has given me even more reason to tune into RAW. One of the best performers of all time is on Monday nights again, so that brings up the overall quality of the show! Bring on the “Sexy Boy”! 3. Guest Hosts- Not everyone is a fan of this concept, but I am. The whole thing brings a certain freshness and drama to Monday nights. It is guaranteed that every host will bring something new to the show and also give members of the IWC something to complain about! 4. Vintage- When I hear Michael Cole spew the words “vintage (enter RAW wrestler here)”, I laugh out loud. It really is so funny when he says ‘the’ word. It’s almost as if he is trying really hard not to say it and when he does, I think he feels like a real dick head. Hell, I’d love a t-shirt with him on it with a speech bubble popping out of his mouth saying “It’s the vintage John Cena! 5. Length- RAW lasts for 2 hours and it allows me to sit down with my watermelon and various selections of berries and enjoy a good show. Not like ECW where you get comfortable and before you know it, it’s over! Sheesh, like did I really just come off LOP for that. 6. Big Superstars- As I touched on earlier, RAW is the home to HBK and John Cena. They are both two of the most famous superstars and future Hall of Famers. We also have Randy Orton, HHH and MVP. RAW is home to the big dogs, which makes it a better show for the casual fan (me?). 7. Entertainment- It may not be a big hit with most of you, but I actually like the entertainment and skits on the show. Like on this weeks show, I saw the Santino segment early on, by way of YouTube, and I found it very funny. Silly little things that are quite corny, can be highly enjoyable to me. I’m not under 12, but I am a girl who is quite young, so don’t hate on me for enjoying these little laughs. 8. In-ring action- As I say, I watch RAW to be entertained and I also enjoy a good old wrestling match. What I don’t enjoy is a really long and boring match filled with slow moving punches and slams, I prefer matches with high flyers and a lot of rope work, which are unfortunately not as common as of late. That’s why I quite enjoy seeing short and sweet matches that are on RAW weekly. 9. Championship Defences- Now what I have noticed is that there are often title defences on RAW. Smackdown is a different story because there are rarely any title defences on the show. There have been more than usual within the past few months, but RAW delivers consistent championship matches. 10. Liveness (yeah I know it’s not a real word!)- RAW is broadcast live which means absolutely anything could happen. This is different from Smackdown! Where it is taped and errors from wrestlers or the commentary team can be edited out. The live crowd in the arena can also start up vulgar chants which can’t be edited out. Yayyyyyyyy!! There are the 10 reasons for you. Were they valid? I think so anyway. As for my random thoughts, I only have a few but I’m still going to share them with you. Floyd Mayweather will be hosting next weeks RAW. This means you can expect him to be handing out dollar bills to the fans in attendance as usual, which is getting old. He will be bringing charisma and a heelish attitude into Las Vegas, which can only mean more viewers. Who’s expecting a confrontation with The Big Show? I am. ECW is going to the dogs. I read the results this week and the show seemed terrible. I last watched it 3 weeks ago and it was bland as anything with nothing special happening at all. I’m going to give it another year until Vince realises it’s not doing its job. Summerslam is approaching and I’m expecting a good show. Nothing spectacular, but still an entertaining night of action. I don’t know if I’m watching it live or not, but I’ll just see what I feel like! Oh and by the way, Jericho and The Big Show better not loose or I will not be a happy bunny. That’s me finished with the second edition of “Sneaking Creeping Weaping”. Please leave feedback if you like because I feel it would help me very much. I know I covered quite a lot of topics and it wasn’t as long as my last column but I really wanted to write about something I love. I hope you liked this column and I hope to be back again soon with my next edition which will be on the worst dressed WWE performers. Before I go I would like to plug a few really good columns here in the CF. I’ve saw the main pagers do it, so why shouldn’t I? Hehe. Benjamin Button- The Passion of the Foley. Benjamin has produced his best column to date and for all you Mick fans out there, this is a must read. http://www.lopforums.com/showthread.php?t=2703 Super Chrisss- A 24/Love Story. A strange and unique piece from one of my favourites here in the CF. http://www.lopforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11 Miss Sneak

It was a pretty good column.
You sound very opinionated, which is good. You picked a dangerous topic for this one, as a lot of the guys in here will agree that Raw has been sucking lately. You put out some good arguments, but im not sure you can convince all of us that Raw is a good show, because it has been putting out a lot of crap lately. It does have its shining moments, but more often, that shininess is covered by crap. Also, watch out for your spelling. Your column name is spelt wrong. Its actually weeping, not weaping. unless you spelt it that way for a reason, and in that case, my apologies. Overall, it was a good solid outing, and ill read you next time.

Glacier- Hey, first off, thanks for picking out that typo and I feel really silly and red-faced now. Thanks for your honesty, praise and criticisms. I will take what you say on-board for next time. Thank you.

I agree with Glacier, this was a pretty good column.
Again as Glacier said you are clearly very opinionated, but I think you could've expanded a bit more on the divas section. The reason I don't want two women's titles is because ECW could do with a second title for the likes of Yoshi Tatsu, Hurricane, Burchill to fight for. I also agree with your view on ECW. Not long ago I preferred to watch ECW to Raw but since Swagger, Bourne & The Hart Dynasty were moved it's been pretty dull. Also if you like watching good women's matches then TNA would suit you. Not sure if you watch TNA but I thought I'd just throw it out there in case you don't. Keep up the good work and will read you next time. |

Just a couple of things.
1. How old are you? Seeing words like "silly" and "happy bunny" made me really think you are young. 2. You seem to know what your talking about, which is good, but you say RAW is good, because John Cena is "sexy". Not very convincing. 3. I am one of those guys who think the Divas match is a piss-break, but the match between Layla and Melina on SmackDown! was more entertaining than all of ECW, so you are right in that the competition is getting better. This just didn't seem to keep my attention. I kept wanting to leave but I read just to get to the end. It felt like that you were venting about many different things instead of having one sole purpose of this piece. |

I have to say since your first column I really liked reading your writing style. The fact is I actually like the 2 belts especially since it gives the divas on Smackdown a fair chance to fight for the belts. Well Ms. Sneak Nice Job

Sneak,
This was a good attempt but I felt that it feel a little short of the mark. Actually it contained just about all of the typical rookie earmarks. A couple things I've noticed that might help you out on your next venture. You seem quite timid at different times when addressing your audience. I can understand that being at the moment on of the very few chick columnists around. But if you want to be treated like an equal around here and have your opinions given a chance, you need assert more confidence in your narrative. Use color and pictures to enhance your narrative, not just because you can. Using an outdated picture of the Divas and the Raw logo really doesn't add anything to this column. In a way they break up your "section" but a well written transition sentance is IMO so much more appealing. Also, I understand that you are a girl and the font is pink, but I would rather see color used as an accessory to your text. It is much better to have your narrative remind yoyr audience that you are female through your language and word choice than to simply just color it all pink. I hate list columns because they are the basis for good ideas that are never developed. Instead of 10 random factoids about Raw, don't you think 3 or 4 of them developed into a good solid argument would have made an more enjoyable read? For the same reason, I hate random factoids to close a column. I understand it's a pet peeve and it's a device that lots of columnists use. That still doesn't make it right. When you make a statement like "ECW is going to the dogs" that implies that A) ECW was better than it was now, and B) it's not meeting your expectation. You could have devoloped that opinion into an whole argument about what you thought ECW was vs what you think it is now. Remember the three D's. DEVELOP, DEVELOP, DEVELOP!!! Finally, I think that you are doing youself a great disservice. As a causal fan and a girl you have a completely different perspective on things than most of us do. I know I'd be interested to hear how you view the current product and why you are even a fan. Why is a girl so interested in something that is so clearly marketed for the boys? I'll read you next time. ~BK

Pinky- That is nice and I am glad you thought it was pretty good. Yeah maybe I could but I am still inexperienced so I hope to sort out that problem as time goes on. Jack Swagger was the main one who I was disappointed to see because he is a shining star. I occasionaly watch TNA but I don't have much time these days. Thanks Pinky for your feedback.
Jett7518- I'm 15 and i'm a girl who is very mature for her age ill have you know and as for John Cena, if i think he is beautiful then it is a good enough reason for me to watch. And it is my column so.. I did say at the end that I was writing about different things so you are repeating what i already know. Thanks for the feedback. Jason- Hey Jason i am honoured you think so and i like that you find my writing style good. Thanks alot. BK- Wow you really know what youre talking about. I value all your advice and opinions and will take them into consideration when writing my next column. I appreciate you taking the time to give me such great feedback and hope to please you next time. As for the colour bit, i do agree yeah that pink associated with a girl is cliche but that is the look im goin for even though i understand what you are saying. Thank you for taking time to help.

Thank you for the plug.
I see a lot of potential in this if you take Beyond Knight’s advice. I like the personality you put into this and I don’t at all mind you listing Cena being “beautiful” as being one of your reasons that you enjoy RAW. I’m sure lots of women agree, and we were getting a woman’s perspective. It is refreshing to see someone talk about why they like RAW. After all, ever since I started watching wrestling 18 yrs ago, every era has been complained about. Since RAW is the highest rated show, you told us the reasons why you and probably others make the rating happen. I don’t think your argument for 2 women titles was strong enough. If you think it should be there so Divas on both brands can compete for the title, consider that it could be like the tag division by having one title for both shows, and most of the rest of your argument was scolding men for bragging about taking piss breaks during Diva matches. But you did show me why one Diva division is important. While lots of us guys aren’t interest, it is a tool that draws the female audience.

My partner was quite nice to give detailed advice for you, but the fact is that this wasn't a bad column, and it wasn't a good column. It was just a column. You said you wanted to write about what you love, but no love came through here. You were just spewing words from your fingers to the keyboard. Nothing here seemed to have come from your heart. This was no better or worse than an average column. Maybe you have something great in you, I don't know. If you do, this didn't come close.

I'm totally behind BeyondKnight on this one. It was a nice little column, but it could have been so much more.
However, while I do agree that listing ten reasons for why you like RAW may not be very fulfilling, at least you offered many different perspectives. There's not many people around here who would agree with you in the shorter matches or John Cena beauty department. Also, check your spelling! Like Glacier mentioned, you have a great name for a column, but the typo kind of cheapens it, as did many other erros through the column. Good to hear from you again Little Sneak and thanks for the 'little' plug. It's an honor to be considered one of your favorite columnists

My advice would be to expand on your main topic, it seemed a bit as if you talked about it for a paragraph and a half and then started drifting to something totally different for the next two. You started by defending women's titles and then went into the more vague defending of women's wrestling in general. It's one thing to rant but you never really gave your main topic time to take off before you had shifted gears so that's something to be careful with.
I actually don't mind the list and maybe a random list (think David Letterman) to end the column each week could work. I also got to agree with BK about the images, a column doesn't need images at all in fact using an image featuring a bunch of Divas who aren't with the company anymore actually hurts the column a little bit. Don't be discouraged as most people around here tend to take awhile to find their voice. Just be open to criticism and advice, at the same time don't feel like you have to incorporate every little thing people mention to you, you have to figure out just what works best for you. The best thing you can do is simply strive to make every column better than the last rather than try and have one big improvement at once. Keep at it, and I'll be sure to check you out next time. ---------------- Now playing: Giant Squid - Versus the Siren via FoxyTunes

Yo Sneak, long time no see round these parts.
Too much sizzle, not enough steak for me here. You've picked three pretty good topics to talk about here, but didn't talk about any of them in depth. You could've written a whole column defending the two women's titles if you'd expanded on some of the earlier points. Or you could've written a whole column defending RAW, expanding on each point you made. Mayweather hosting RAW could also have been a stand alone column. Instead, you wrote about three topics and only seemed to touch on them, I would've preferred you to have gone in depth on just the one. Anyway, it's nice to get a different perspective on shizzle round here, I guess that's the advantage of belonging to the fairer sex and being a casual fan. Oh, and ECW is awesome. My boys Burchill and Regal are on there every week, and I mark out big time for those dudes. Catch you next time miss, whenever that may be.

Hello little friend. I think you had the old problem of rushing and being too eager to post something. What needs to be improved has already been pointed out, and I think if you work on those things, you would have a really good column on your hands. Also, you made some bold statements that not everyone agrees with but don't be afraid to state them because that is what a column is all about. It wasn't bad though so take the advice given, stick around, take your time for the next and I'll see what you produce next time. Oh, and I actually like the pink font.

Benjamin Button- No worries! Yeah i gathered that you guys are not particularly interested in John Cena but hey, i was only being honest. Thanks for your thoughts on the column, they are much appreciated and i hope to improve with my next column.
XanMan- I am aware that this column was not the best from the feedback and i appreciate your honesty. I am going to prove to you there is something good in me XanMan, and i hope to show you this even just a little in my next column. Thanks. Super Chrisss- Yeah you know maybe i just rushed it far too much, im aware now that i have to make sure my column is perfect before i post it and i am going to take the advice of you and the others to improve next time. Hey, no problem Doc Monk- As i have said, this wasnt my best work and i really appreciate your opinions and advice to try and help me improve. I agree it was a bit sloppy and dated but i hope to improve alot on my next column which will be out very soon as i have been working on it. Yeah i am an open book and i am always happy to take both advice and criticism. Freeman- Hehe you are funny. Yeah, i wont be posting regularly as i am a very busy sneaker. I do hope to post as often as i can but as i have my final year of school this year, i will have to knuckle down. Thank you. Andy- I do agree, i was sloppy with this and too eager to get it posted asap. Yes well i am not the type of young woman to change my opinions nor hold back on them. Thanks alot. Oh i am glad to hear that! I thank all you guys for taking the time and making the effort to read and feedback my column. Also for your honest opininons and advice. Miss Sneak
