Batman: Arkham Asylum
Heard about this game a long time ago and its only a couple of weeks away. Has anyone heard anything about this game ive seen stuff on it from G4 and the trailer it looks freaking sick.

I got the demo on xboxlive, I think there will be alot to this game. Its a combo stealth/beat ass game as batman should be. The animation and voice actiong is good. Ill have to learn to be more stealthy in this game as some random thugs killed me with guns.

Played the demo last night. I'm super stoked. It could turn out to be a really bad ass game. The story mode might even be the least fun part. The Silent Predator mode looks to be sick as hell.
I had that problem of almost dieing, then I cleared the room and got some health back.

Got the demo on xbox live. First time I played thru it, I ended up dying in the very last room. I went for a glide kick and thought nobody saw me, but next thing i know, i had about 4 guys swarming in on me firing. The next time, I just hung out on top of the gargoyles and waited for them to walk underneath me. I then just lowered myself and grabed them and then tied them up. The funniest thing was at one point, I was sitting on top of a gargoyle and saw this one guy freaking out. He was screaming and shooting his gun all over the place. The 25th can't come soon enough

The demo made the game look pretty damn good.
May have to get it, and thats suprising for me seeing as I only really get Spiderman games if it's comic book games that come out. Defo one to get from the looks of it...

This game is the second reason I need to get a PS3. (The first is the newest DBZ game.)
Played the demo the other day, and it's fucking epic! The fact that the majority of the voice cast from the 90's cartoon returned to reprise their roles for this game earned extra cool points with me.

Been playing the demo now for like three days just trying out different ways to take out the baddies. Honestly i cant wait i even decided not to buy madden this year to get this game.

I believe that you can play as the joker on the PS3 version. I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere; anyway, the demo is awesome. I was bummed out when it was over. I can hardly wait to get this game.

This game is going to be insane. Played the demo over the weekend. Controls are a little shakey at first but once you figure everything out you can do some major damage.
The only thing that sucks is that this game and Ultimate Alliance 2 are being release so close together.

Also once you get more gadgets I wonder how well they will control and how easy it will be to switch around them.

I think the switching to detective mode may make it easier somewhat ( just thinking certain gadgets may only be available in one or the other (normal/detective) I have nothing to base this off of, just thinking that's how it may go. I felt the controls in the demo were a breeze, though there were points were I couldn't swing to the fucking gargoyle even though I was at a straight shot at it. Other than that, fucking looks like a bomb ass game. I'm very picky about buying games, I haven't gotten a PS3 game since SVR 09,

Heads up for anyone wanting to pick this up. Apparently Toys R Us will be doing a $20 gift card with purchase, $30 if you sign up for their rewards program.
I'd say that sells it for me. I still have my $20 Prototype gift card to use, so that makes this hard to pass up. Just need to decide PS3 or 360. Playing as the Joker could be a selling point. Have to wait on the reviews and head to heads.

I hear the Joker on the PS3 version is just like the Green Goblin in the 1st Spider-Man game: A skin/move change while still playing the hero's storyline.
Besides, like the "exclusive" Yoda and Vader characters in Soul Calibur 4, it will probably become DLC later on anyway. The game is okay so far, but the Joker's dialogue puts it just above average. If it ended right now, I'd give it around a 7.5 out of 10.

This has become a console seller here. People have been buying the PS3 and trading in there 360's with this game as a HUGE factor. Though I am guessing the high failure rate of the 360 and the PS3's price drop helped as well.

This game is just amazing! You'll be hooked from the opening cinematic. For fans of Batman and fans of action/adventure style gaming I highly recommend it.

It's the price drop, plus I'm sure the new PS3 slim, which does the exact same things with a bigger harddrive at the same price, are helping.
That price point has been a major turn-off for a lot of my friends, and myself as well, and now that the price has come down there's going to be a lot more PS3's sold in my neck of the woods so to speak. This could be what pushes PS3 past 360. With 360's failure rate and looking at the hardware, I've always seen the PS3 as the superior machine, and maybe now that the price is down the sales figures will show that.

It won't because as soon as Sony makes a move like this.... Halo OSDT is coming down the pipe to swing the fanboys back into action. This is a nice little spike for the PS3 people, but its one game. Sony has to swing a lot more its way to get back into the game.
In other news, this game rocks my face in ways I haven't seen it rocked. The upside down grapple and hang is one of the best timewasters I've ever seen. Played it at a friend's house, and tonight I'll be playing my copy on my system. Squeeeeeeee!

It is always going to come down to preference. Huh-durf. But if you're talking capabilities and specs, the PS3 is a better system FACT. Whether or not you want one though is entirely up to you. I know people who sold one for a Wii and have never looked back.
THAT BEING SAID, buy this game. It is fucking sweet. It's like Condemned meets MGS4 meets Metroid. I'm punching the fuck out of shit, detecting the shit out of fuck and sneaking like some sort of sneaky flying nocturnal mouse. Shit is a game of the year contender. Just wait until the 2nd Scarecrow encounter.

When I say superior console, I'm talking about specs and failure rates and such and using that criteria, PS3 is the superior console on the market by a mile. In terms of games, I give the edge to the 360. For pure fun, Nintendo has it in the bag by a mile.
Besides which, I'll come out and say it right now I'm a playstation fan boy because they won me over with the awesomeness of the Playstation 2. I also have a soft spot for Nintendo and hate Microsoft.

I beat the game yesterday. Great game, and easily the best Batman game experience you will have.
Those who have it on the 360, check the leader boards for the fourth challenge(Record Breaker). I am as of now number 4.
