To The Death 4
Hello Lop Forums, it is me once again Jason boy here to take you to the depths of pro-wrestling. This is the 4th edition, wow only one to go before the all important 5th edition. I was very disappointed at the end of No Way Out, it wasn’t a bad pay per view; my predictions weren’t all right. I only got one right, I guess I’m not better than you. The Road to Wrestlemania has begun and well to be frank is damn great. I mean the feuds, the storylines and of course the Hall of Fame Ceremony everything is looking great as we head toward the biggest night of WWE action, a night that has months of planning, Wrestlemania 25.Today, I originally planned to rate the top 10 theme songs but that was a bit hard; so I decided to create a normal column just like last week’s. No Way Out 2009 1) Triple H won the Smackdown Elimination Chamber to win the WWE Championship in what was a great match. A lot of people figured out something big was going to occur later in the night. Hell, I though it would involve Edge and Christian. The match was done very well and was given a good amount of time. I loved how they let Edge get eliminated in the beginning letting us know that there was going to be a new champion. 2) Randy Orton defeated Shane Mcmahon by hitting the RKO in an No Hold Barred Match. All, I have to say is Shane got the job done, and even though many people have many negatives for him participating in a match, he did a great job. 3)Jack Swagger defeated Finlay to retain the ECW Championship, the match was a typical ECW match under the WWE ‘nuff said. 4) Shawn Micheals beat JBL in a above average match, the ending was sculpted perfectly with Micheals wife. Gotta hand it to JBL, he is a great heel. This feud reminded me of his rivalry with Rey Mysterio . 5) Edge won the RAW Elimination Chamber to win the World Heavyweight Championship. This was a swerve by any measure by the WWE. We all knew he was going to win, when he attacked Kingston. The biggest surprise was Cena being eliminated third and Jericho 4th. This would leave Mysterio and Edge. I like Mysterio, he isn’t properly booked but that isn’t his fault. Part 2 : Superstars The superstars section of my column is where, I discuss 2 superstars of my choosing ( if I have time, I may do 3). Today’s first superstar is TNA’s King Booker, okay I am kidding it’s Jimmy Wang Yang. I mean who would waste their time writing about TNA. A Glance at Jimmy Wang Yang Jimmy Wang Yang is the ring name of James Yun working on Smackdown as a face. Jimmy Wang Yang has worked in ROH, TNA, WCW, WWF and has a development stint in WWE in early 2001. Jimmy Wang Yang worked originally in WWE as Akio afterwards being released. Working as a jobber , Jimmy Wang Yang appeared and impressed officials. Under a new name and gimmick, he made his debut by losing to Nova. However with weeks passing he became a contender to the Cruiserweight title, often losing barley or because of cheating. A few weeks later, Yang would start teaming with Shannon Moore, to challenge for the tag team championships, although they would win many non-title matches, they drew or lost the title match. The feud would play out on ECW and Smackdown before Shannon Moore was released from the WWE. Afterwards Yang was suspended for violating the WWE Drug Policy. After serving his suspension Yang lost his first match back to The Brian Kendrick. He than jobbed to Kalhi and other superstar. He was given the jobber treatment with no entrance and a promotional video playing when he made his entrance. He was then of tv for a couple of months jobbing occasionally. He would then lose to Umaga although not as a jobber. We all know this was because of his suspension but is it really necessary. We all know, he doesn’t get the Jeff Hardy reaction but he is a good wrestler and he is just being buried. As far as I am concerned, he is on the list of the Pre-Wrestlemania releases. He isn’t doing anything, so he is just someone that is taking up space. With the WWE Draft coming up, I feel he should be moved to ECW, without an Cruiserweight title, all those superstars are being released. Jamie Noble being moved is the right step. They should do this with Yang, this will bring back the hardcore high flying fans and give these superstars something to do. A Glance at Mr. Kennedy Mr. Kennedy has bad luck, no question about it! Mr. Kennedy first debuted on Smackdown as a heel. He had great charisma and his wrestling skills weren’t bad, than after a few weeks; he got injured once again and was out until late 2006 in which he returned again as a heel. He would slowly work his way up the card until finally defeating Finlay and Lashley to win his first title, the United States Championship. Than at this time, he would start a feud with The Undertaker in which he became what I call a world title contender. The Undertaker would cost him the Us Title and than beat him in a Last Ride Match. The feud had really elevated Kennedy into the main event picture. He would win the MITB Ladder match, lose the briefcase due to injury Thus bad luck was calling as he would than get suspended for a violation of WWE’S drug policy, upon returning he turned face and started a feud with William Regal, he would beat Regal the feud ending due to Regal being suspended. He would than get drafted to Smackdown, many hoped it was RAW which caused him so many problems but than 4 weeks following the draft, he was again injured and out for about 8-9 months up to know. He has still not returned and when he does, I have a feeling he won’t be looking at many titles. I feel that the only reason he’s still here is for his movie ,but than there is Rey Mysterio and others who have had similar injury problems but Rey’s had 2 injuries in the last 3 years while Ken has had 3 in the last 2 years. As a face, he does a relative good job, I say keep him on Smackdown as a manager, for someone like TBK. I mean he is a good wrestler but at this rate he should wrestle occasionally or maybe it’s just bad luck which has to change. What ever it is Mr. Kennedy really need some type of miracle. I mean he’s a great wrestler and I’d hate for him to be looking at un-employment. A Glance at Charlie Hass Charlie Hass is a WWE superstar currently working on it’s RAW brand. He has had a previous period of work with WWE before being released and being rehired. When he was re-hired, I knew with-in a few months ; he would be sent to Heat and wouldn’t be used and I was right. Charlie Hass is another superstar who would fit in perfectly on ECW. His current gimmick which earned him a lot of tv time fits in with that brands image. He can do the comedic role really well but with Santino on RAW, the comedic role isn’t needed. He can also fit in with the rest of the Cruiserweight’s and, when he has to put on good matches he can put them on. In an odd way, he has great talent and doesn’t mind losing so I’d put him in matches against giants. Charlie Hass future in WWE also looks short but than many people have said that for Jimmy Wang Yang. Theme Music Today, I am gonna discuss my favorite theme song for Wrestlemania, since I was too young; I only took into account Wrestlemania 20, 21, 22, 23, 24. There were 8 theme songs total and to me the # 1 theme song so far was Peter Gabriel’s “Big Time”. The song was almost a classic and went with that years main event for Smackdown. A close second would be “Ladies and Gentlemen” by Saliva. I mean the song was great but when you hear Big Time you get ready for the biggest granddaddy of them all. WJB Awards With Wrestlemania around the corner, it’s time to continue my tradition of hosting my annual WJB Awards. Last year they were in February but since I was new to LOP, I decided to do them right before Wrestlemania weekend. The voting will start of know and end the Thursday before Wrestlemania.. Hello again, Jason:
Again, another improvement on last time. Go for a long, well developed piece, rather than lots of short, vague paragraphs. And, of course, there are language usage issues. Keep working; it gets a little better each time. Read you again soon. By the way, I lol-ed at the line about "who writes about TNA, anyways?" Thanks for the laugh. --Leonard

Well you really make a huge improvement from #3 - #4 so that's a major deal. Given you still need a little more work but the main thing is too constantly keep trying to improve. So you have accomplished that goal, next is to just flesh out those ideas a bit more and add a little more focus. Keep at it man and don't get discouraged, your average writer that comes in here for the first time takes a good 10 or so columns before they really start to find what works for them.
As for your voting: 1) Chris Jericho 2) Beth Phoenix 3) World Heavyweight Title 4) Raw 5) Gears of War 2 (not sure how this relates) 6) Evan Bourne 7) Mr. Kennedy 8) SummerSlam 9) Edge vs Undertaker (HIAC SummerSlam) 10) Randy Orton 11) John Cena 12) Matt Striker WJB Hall Of Fame (Please See Below) 1) Shawn Michaels 2) Ric Flair 3) Bret Hart 4) Randy Savage 5) Brian Pillman (the wildcard pic) Please write any other comments below. I honestly don't watch TNA too much anymore and I've hardly seen any new ROH so I kept my votes to WWE. Best entrance was hard for me, but I picked Orton based solely on the fact that the slow methodical entrance and his theme song fit his character perfectly ---------------- Now playing: Mastodon - Ghost Of Karelia via FoxyTunes

well, i feel foolish. Okay, so i left feedback in your other column, only to look up and see you had a new one! So i must say, off the bat, the headings really improved this, as it spaced everything out and made it much easier to digest!
Oh and i would love Jimmy Wang Yang, he's cool and all, but his damn theme always gets stuck in my head! |

Dude, there's not really much I want to say about the column that hasn't been said above.
I will however say that I think Kennedy would be a great manager, and I will post my votes. Hopefully No. 5 will be a fine piece of column. 1) Shawn Michaels 2) Beth Phoenix 3) World Heavyweight Championship 4) Raw 5) Madden 09 (Yes I'm Australian, it still fucking rocks) 6) Jack Swagger 7) Kennedy 8) No Way Out 09 9) H v Edge v Hardy - WWE Championship - Armageddon December 14 10) Undertaker 11) Randy Orton 12) Vickie Guerrero WJB Hall Of Fame (Please See Below) 1) Bret Hart 2) Ric Flair 3) Steve Austin 4) Mick Foley 5) Owen Hart I know the WWE Championship Chamber Match and the Summerslam HIAC will be popular choices for match of the year, but my personal favourite type of match is the Triple Threat Match, or Three Way Dance for us old schoolers. And plus Hardy won the title which was just sick. I also went for the WHC as title of the year even after Cena got his hands on it, as H's boring run really bogged down the WWE Championship, even if Cena didn't get his hands on it. From Edge and Taker to Punk's surprise win to Jericho getting what he deserved to Edge stealing the title for the road to Mania, the WHC has overrall been more exciting this year. Vickie is hands down the best non-wrestling performer. HANDS DOWN.
