Evans Vs Jackson will be some of the best build up since GSP dishing Hughes performance. I have Evans, because there is always a chance of Rampage having another mental issue, and Evans has always keep his head in every fight.

Tapout! founder Mask is dead.

Looks like the guy who created the ultimate douche shirt, died street racing his douche-y car.

Sorry he died though.

Ah, he may have created a douchebag shirt, but he still was one of the people who helped make MMA as popular as it is today.

In other news, looks like Machida is getting the title shot, since Jackson has to undergo jaw surgery to repair some torn ligaments in his jaw. I hope Rashad tears him apart, cause I reeeeeaaaally don't like Machida, and I want to see some Black on Black crime.

Well, Lashley beat Guida. Decision victory, not what I hoped for, but good enough. Guida almost had him in the second or third with a guillotine, but Lashley kept his cool and put on a pretty good show of wresting. Not much standup, so we'll have to wait until a good fighter comes along to really see how good Lashley is.

I honestly think lashley is never going to amount to much in MMA.

That fight was dullsville.

Doesn't matter if it was dull. He won didn't he? That's all that matters. Dan Severn was dull but he won a lot of matches in the original UFC.

Glad to see Lashley won after the crap Guida talked, and i guess he showed him he could take a punch for real. Hopefully he will do like Lesnar, and work on his stand up and get better at it.

Lashley has to much of a high pitched voice to do stand up.

Well, it looks like Fight Night 18 is shaping up extremely nicely. The whole card looks pretty decent, and I'm especially excited about seeing Junie Browning do a real fight. I was impressed with his striking ability, and I believe he's been training with Xtreme Couture, so he should have improved even more since the TUF finals.

But onto the question of the day. It was posed on inside MMA, and others have been talking about it. The question is, Is the whole TUF show hurting MMA? Yes, great fighters have been found. Yes, the winners, with the exception of Kendall Grove and Amir Sadollah have gone on to great things. But when people see the antics of Junie Browning, going on drunken tangents, does it just play into the stereotypes of MMA? What do you all think?

I think it might kind of help, because people watch, and then they might want people like Junie to fail. I enjoy it though, and it has been a nice way to build up the match up between the two coaches. Also can't really judge Amir yet, because he has been having bad luck with injuries.

The show gets good ratings and brings numerous fighters to fight in The Octagon. No, it's not hurting UFC, or MMA as a whole. It's helping beyond belief, actually. Look at where MMA was in this country before TUF, and then look at where it is now.

ugh. i hate what tuf has done to MMA.

Only good thing to come out of it is more exposure = more shows.

I was always a Pride fan over UFC, though.

^ Yea, Carano V. Cyborg would be pretty tight.

Anyway, yeah, TUF helped launch MMA into more of the mainstream. But now that the UFC is more established, is it time to retire the show? MMA needs to show that it isn't just idiots banging with each other, and that it is a legit sport. All this aside, TUf brings ratings for Spike and the UFC, so it probably won't go away.

Naw it isn't time to retire the show, because the show is still finding solid talent, and usually after the shows they get better training, because of the spotlight.

Well, I start my trip to UFC Fight night 18. Look for the signs below during the event, hopefully at least one of them will get me on TV.

Edit: Oops, my bad for the humongous pics. Here are some smaller ones.

Edit Edit: Let's try that one more time.

Mine are the same as yours, except I think Condit pulls it out. He was WEC champion after all, so I think it'll be pretty good. I expect the Brock Larson match to steal the show however. I've heard really good things about him, and it's a shame he's on the undercard.

Yeah i could see Condit pulling it out to, but i had Kampmann top 5 middleweight before he moved down in weight, and i think he will have a title shot after a few more wins.

figured this would be cool. What are your favourite five MMA fights of all time?

Here's my list...

5: Mayhem Miller versus Jacare (Dream 4)

Awesome fuckin fight between two guys who have excellent ground games.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5s...aldo-sou_sport

4: Frank Shamrock versus Phil Baroni (Strikeforce)

What a brawl. Both guys refuse to give in, with Baroni choosing to go to sleep rather than tap like a bitch.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nuRj...layer_embedded

3: Jerry Bohlander versus Scott Ferrozzo (UFC 8)

This fight was the first one I ever saw and it was an amazing display of back and forth fighting between the Lions Den's Jerry Bohlander and Pit Fighter Scott Ferrozzo. Jerry Bohlander will forever be in the MMA history books for winning this despite a huge weight disadvantage.

can't find the actual fight, so here's another one of Bohlander instead.

http://www.mma-core.com/videos/_Kevi...002101&tid=100

2: Royce Gracie versus Sakuraba (Pride ??)

This needs no introduction.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CF1I...layer_embedded

1: Paul Taylor versus Crocota (UFC ??)

Taylor lays down a horrific beating and becomes my favourite fighter of all time in the process.

yeah its a hell of a fight. I just wish Bonnar got the Split Decision victory like he should have. Bad officiating.

The Baroni/Shamrock fight is my favourite brawl.

I was always partial to BJ Penn vs. Sean Sherk, as that was my first real fight, and what got me hooked. GSP vs. BJ II was a masterpiece on behalf of GSP, no matter Greasegate. Bonnar v. Griffin I, and Liddell vs. Couture III, as well as Liddell vs. Ortiz.

Ok, favorite fights are in. How about worst officiating you've seen, by either referees or judges.

For me, by far, Cheick Kongo vs. Mostapha Al-Turk. Mazzagati showed just how much he blows in that fight, and yet he is still a referee.

not sure why you dislike Mazagatti. He's easily the best referee around. I guess I actually like definitive stoppages over premature ones.

Worst ref in my opinion is either Herb Dean or Rosenthal.

Favourite fighters?

1. Paul Taylor
2. Jerry Bohlander
3. Oleg Taktarov
4. Fedor Emelianenko
5. Vitor Belfort

If you were watching the Fight Night tonight, and before the main event saw an idiot with his tongue out on screen for about 20 seconds, that was me. Awesome, no?

Torres vs Mizugaki is tonight on Versus. Should be a solid show. I've obviously got Torres winning in the main event. I also like Joseph Benavidez in an upset of Jeff Curran. I also think Rafael Assuncao will have a successful debut.

I'm I the only one who thinks the undercard is stronger than some of the televised shows. Personally, I'd love to see Wagnney Fabiano vs. Fredson Paixao, Eddie Wineland vs. Rani Yahya, or Akitoshi Tamura vs. Manny Tapia than Assuncao's (even thought I've wanted to see him fight) showcase or two guys I'm not familiar with in Roller and Henderson. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing Torres fight again tonight.

It was excellent! Torres vs Mizugaki was probably fight of the year so far and Curran vs Benivedez was also a top notch fight.

Ha, anybody watch TUF Wednesday? The dude that Santino (lol) beat had a tatoo around his bellybutton just like Batista. Dana made a comment about him having a chick tatoo.

Anyway, I was just watching my recording, and noticed something. When a referee stops the fight due to someone going to sleep, it's called referee stoppage. Shouldn't there be a designation for putting someone to sleep?

Well, here's an update for tonights Strikeforce card on Showtime

MAIN CARD
Nick Diaz vs. Frank Shamrock
Gilbert Melendez vs. Rodrigo Damm*
Benji Radach vs. Scott Smith
Hitomi Akano vs. Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos
Ron "Abongo" Humphrey vs. Brett Rogers

PRELIMINARY CARD
Buck Meredith vs. Luke Rockhold
Waylon Kennell vs. Eric Lawson
Raul Castillo vs. Brandon Michaels
Zak Bucia vs. James Terry
Shingo Kohara vs. Jeremy Tavares

I'm actually excited for this card, as I haven't really seen Cyborg fight, and I think the bad blood between Shamwow and Diaz will make for a great brawl.

In other news, if you watched Inside MMA on HDNet this friday, you saw GSP as a guest panelist. He was totally ragging on BJ, saying that instead of wasting his time at a hearing he was training and making himself a better fighter, and even though he doesn't like BJ he's gong to give him some advice: Stop wasting time and start training.

It was totally a burn, and BJ came off looking really bad. GSP was a very gracious guest, and seemed to handle himself extremely well on TV. Also, we learned the GSP is in a movie called "Deadliest Warrior", where he plays a villian.
