The Deadman Chronicles: Money in the Bank

What stands fifteen feet in the air, almost guarantees the winner a promising future in the WWE, and at least will keep the WWE title out of John Cena’s hands for the time being, well that is of course the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

I am Deadman, your host for this run down of the latest gimmick ppv for the WWE and I will be lending my predictions for the readers to show what I feel could make for an interesting end of summer for the WWE.

    Money in the Bank

Smackdown Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Kane, Big Show, Dolph Ziggler, Matt Hardy, Christian, Kofi Kingston, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes winner receives a contract for a World Heavyweight title match for up to a year.

I firmly believe they will have this be the opener for the pure reason of having some great match spots and intensity to give the fans the hot start to a PPV.

The winner I have came down to three out of the eight people who are in the match.

Matt Hardy- Sorry you are not Jeff therefore you will not win the match

Kofi Kingston- You have a title, why are you in this match, not happening.

Dolph Ziggler- NO not happening, not yet at least

Drew McIntyre- I like your style and everything but I feel you will win the big one some other way.

Cody Rhodes- New Gimmick, get the IC strap first then we will talk

Big Show- I feel show as a chance to win this match just for the way he as been wrestling for the last year or so, his run with the Tag Titles and his matches have gotten a lot better during the past few months and he is deserving of a World Title Run, but I don’t think he needs this to get him there, sorry Show.

Christian- The man as been solid since his return to the WWE ring, and he gave a big rub to Big Zeke as being the final ECW champion, he as work solid matches in the past year and finally deserves the Big one, but I feel that he will win that this fall at TLC or he might win the Rumble.

Kane- I firmly believe with everything as been going on with this story line of him finding who put his brother out of commission was to get Kane a heel turn and to lead to a feud with his brother, but I also feel Kane is near retirement and with that I feel he should have at least one more go around with a World Heavyweight Strap, give him the contract, and I will discuss what to do with it later.

    Deadman’s Pick: Kane

WWE Divas Championship: Alicia Fox vs. Eve

This match was thrown in as a filler between the Money in the Banks matches, and this will be nothing special, but hopefully will be given enough time around 7 to 8 minutes to tell a small story, maybe even have Alicia use the faking injury thing to get another victory, she is ready for the title, but is she ready for Melina when she returns.

    Deadman’s Pick: Alicia Fox

Unified Tag Team Championship: The Hart Dynasty vs. Jimmy and Jey Uso

I personally feel this match was rushed, as Jimmy and Jey have proved nothing of earning a title shot this early, let alone they aren’t ready to run with the gold.

Give them ten minutes, make the Harts look strong but don’t bury the new team quite yet, I feel the Uso’s could really go somewhere but they need some better in ring work.

    Deadman’s Pick: The Hart Dynasty

Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Randy Orton, Edge, Evan Bourne, Chris Jericho, Mark Henry, Ted Dibiase, The Miz, John Morrison winner gets a WWE title contract good for up to a year.

Another Money in the Bank and from the start power in it, this will be a great match, and hopefully will show case a good ladder match.

The winner of this one is less obvious then in the Smackdown MITB match and it could go a bunch of different routes. I have brought it down to three main people but it could be anyone of the eight men.

Evan Bourne- Yes he is great in the ring, and his high flying will be nice, but I can see him getting the US title soon to fuel the nexus feud against maybe another high flyer, Justin Gabriel, that would be a great match I think.

Ted Dibiase- I don’t see him winning it, his mic skills have became shaky, and he really needs to get his new gimmick over, start paying people off to get your way, you have the money, now we need you to use it to get heel heat, maybe he will pay to win the Rumble.

Mark Henry- Sorry but you are just filler, as in the words of Vincent Kennedy McMahon you HAVE NO CHANCE IN HELL.

Edge- Sorry since your return you have done nothing to excite me, your promos are the same thing every week, please come up with a new gimmick, new finisher, and hell new music, then maybe I will care if you get the title.

John Morrison- The man who should go back to Smackdown, he as more of a chance to breaking through their then on Raw, sorry but its sad but turn.

Chris Jericho- I feel he could win it, because him with the case could lead to some great promos and some great tease to cashing in the contract. I feel he doesn’t need it but it wouldn’t hurt him.

The Miz- You are close to breaking through the Main even but I think you need one more major thing, and I honestly don’t think Money in the bank will be your key to the promise land, I feel you could win the rumble and make something more of that, that’s two months of promos on why he is the best and how he is going to win the title then.

Randy Orton- Oh how I hated you from 2006 until a few months ago, your viper gimmick is awesome, and you are doing the best non noticeable face turn ever, I feel he is over enough, and is deserving of a WWE title run, and the contract might be the only way for him to get there with Triple H due back, Cena still in the title picture, etc.

    Deadman’s Pick: Randy Orton

Women’s Championship: Layla vs. Kelly Kelly

So nice they name her twice isn’t going to get the title yet, maybe at Summerslam or Night of Champions. She is vastly improving in the ring and is getting better and better at everything, but I feel Layla needs to keep the title while Kaval is still on NXT, because it always helps to have a champion as your pro, look at Wade Barrett.

    Deadman’s Pick: Layla

World Heavyweight Championship: Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger

This match could go a bunch of different ways but I have a feeling the WWE is going to finally pull the plug on this happening and a lot better to happen here then at the granddaddy of them all.

This match will be good, I think Swagger will work over the ankle some more and use the submission to try and get the win. Rey will play the face in distress during the match, mid way through he will get a close fall on Swagger, but nothing will come out of it, and Swagger will snap while having the ankle lock on, and he will either loose by DQ because of not letting go on the count of ten or after Rey as tapped and the ref counts five.

Deadman's Pick: Rey wins by DQ

Pyro goes off and out comes Kane to save Rey Rey from the beating as Swagger still hasn’t let go of the ankle lock, Kane comes in which scares Jack Swagger off and he runs to the back, everyone thinks everything is fine and dandy and bam he cashes in, takes Rey out, wins the title, and takes out Rey to go have his surgery that is needed.

Deadman Picks: Kane cashes in and becomes the new World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE Title Match in a Steel Cage: Sheamus vs. John Cena

Well this one will be interesting for sure, and I feel that it will be good for both men to get a match like this. I feel that Sheamus is going to come out as champion but he won’t walk out of the cage or escape to retain his title. After 10 to 12 minutes of action Nexus comes down and gets in the ring and forces both Sheamus and Cena to work together, but they get the beat down in the middle of the ring and the show goes off the air with Nexus standing tall over Cena and Sheamus.

    Deadman’s Pick: No Contest

    Deadman's Final Thoughts:

I feel this ppv will be a solid show, and the title matches will be good, the ladder matches will be awesome to watch, and the spots will be nice, where the diva title matches are fillers, and the tag title match is just there to be there.

I will be reviewing the PPV next week to see how I did on my predictions and give you my thoughts on how everything went.

Until next time this is Deadman, have a good weekend and enjoy the PPV

Was alright for a preview column and you actually were pretty spot on for the most part right down to Kane cashing in and winning the belt. Not a whole lot to add since the PPV has already passed but I hated seeing you down there with no replies
