    Total Nonstop....Turmoil?

This hasn't been verified by LoP or my other usual site yet, so take it with a grain of salt.

It is believed that Hogan and Bischoff are contracted to TNA through the end of 2010.

According to a source, talks between Paul Heyman and TNA are still ongoing and that he could be coming in soon to oversee a complete makeover of the company roster and TNA's front office. As of this writing, nothing has been signed between Heyman and TNA, but the word is that the two sides are "closer to a deal than they are letting on."
Thoughts? I'm personally inclined to believe the whole "Bischoff spending time with family and Hogan recovering form surgery" story but if this is true...$10 says someone's getting sued.

Its not really a secret that Bish, Hogan and Heyman aren't on one anothers Christmas Card lists.

Eric & Hulk recent actions are the tip of the iceburg.

You also have the firing of that guy who used to impersonate Jim Ross. Heyman is buddies with JR and those "Oklahoma" days weren't remembered fondly, IIRC.

Russo is looking to change job titles.

Double J hasn't been this vocal about company business since before he was banging Angle's ex-wife.

Now you have the reports of Dixie telling the wrestlers to stop being Botchamania highlight reels, meaning the eyes of the wrestling world are about to be on them.

I've been doubting it before, but Paul Heyman is coming.

Heyman and Bishoff probably dont like eachother personally but rumor is that they buried their heat. They have worked together before. I think it might be a bit of a power struggle but its prolly just Bishoff doing some other project and Heyman getting ready to take real control. and Hogan DID just have surgery.

Who would have ever thought that Hulk Hogan or Eric Bischoff would end up working with Vince Russo or even Jeff Jarrett? I think they could all work together but the question is are they willing to work together? I don't see Hogan or Bischoff wanting to take a backseat to latest TNA savior Paul Heyman. Clearly, Paul wants to have absolute control, so he wouldn't take a position under Hogan, so it will be interesting to see how things work out but I would bet that TNA and Hulk Hogan would just come to a mutual agreement to end the contract with Hogan getting his money for the remainder of his year with the company. However, lets say I am wrong and Hogan decides to stay then how does this whole situation with Hogan, Dixie Carter, Russo, Jarrett, Bischoff, Heyman, and even Kurt Angle was trying to make a power play a few months ago for control during the whole Jarrett/Karen Angle debacle so how does the entire gang work together? too many cooks in the kitchen anyone?

Obviously, no one likes to be called out, but I think that Dixie made the right move here. Sometimes a boss needs to call out their people to make sure that they are focused and giving their all in making sure that they are putting out the best possible product. Dixie has been calculated with how she has handled these pep talks and I think that they can be very effective.

"Turmoil" is definitely the right word when referring to the happenings off camera with TNA. Dixie needs to make the decision and bring in Heyman and grant him any power that he wants, even if that means that Hogan and Bischoff answering to Heyman.

This is a business, and we have all seen circumstances where talent had to put their personal feelings aside for the better of the company. If they cant come to some sort of common ground, than thats where Dixie will have to step in. However, I like the prospects of Hogan and Bischoff as an advisor to Heyman. I think that Hogan and Bischoff have some good ideas and I think Heyman could be a better filter than Russo.

I dont think that the sudden disappearance of Hogan and Bichoff have anything to do with the prospects of Heyman coming on board. Hogan needed surgery for months. I base my opinion on how they temporarily wrote Sting out by suspending him indefinitely to possibly coincide with Hogans surgery and the postponing of their storyline.

The only difference is that they were just on-air talent when they worked together. Part of Vince's "I won" parade.

Now there's actual creative control in the balance. And really, giving Heyman the control he wants is a slap to Eric's face. A "we gave you half a year and your ideas failed, now we are going to the guy that ran the 3rd most popular wrestling fed" kind of thing. Not saying the slap isn't deserved, although maybe a little premature. I think if the rug is pulled from under Bischoff's feet, he'll bolt.

Hogan, on the other hand, I think will be happy to just be on-air talent. I don't think he had all that much input backstage other than giving his old buddies jobs. Anything TNA did different, sounded like one of Bischoff's old ideas. Hell, it's either TNA or hoping Rent-A-Center does more commercials.

to give to the best idea of what going on back stage without getting myself into to much trouble are loosing my job is this. The talk back stage is it is not if Paul haymen is coming it's a question now of when. It's a big lawer dispute at the moment because he wants full control, not partial not well if dixie and eric are cool with it, FULL. The good news is dixie is on board hulk is on board (he never wanted to be on the creative side he truly only wanted to be on air from jump street, he need's the money and TNA need his name and star power so everyone wins but he doesn't care about the creative) Now here is the shocker, Eric is on board. He is tottaly down with working with Paul heyman and is looking forwad to it. All be it he could be lieing throught his teeth but he is saying he is on board and this him being missing in action is because Hulk is taking time off for surgery he is taking time off with his family but is checking in and giving story line and booking ideas via telaconfrence. Here is the problem thats' brewing. Backstage morale. Some people are feeling over looked, some people feel betrayed and some people feel like others are getting unfair pushes. But the biggest problem is they all feel like there getting lied too. Dixie , Eric , Vince Russo and to some degree Hulk won't give the boys in the back a straight answer about if Paul is even coming much less when and when (Dixie is the absolute worst about this shit) Dixie twitters oh there is big news big news it's going to change the face of tna, the guys in the back feel like the sky is falling. I can't blame them they here a new boss is coming in possible and they want to know if they are still going to have a job or not. Then like last night she comes in and makes the all have a mandatory meeting in the middle of the afternoon and when she gets there she wont answer ANY of there questions on whats going on are what's the situation with Paul she instead tell them to step there game up and quit flubbing in the ring. It's costign us a small fortune in editing out all you guys mistakes in the ring in either a bad or slow promos that we have to speed up or cut pices out of and having to recut matches because you screwed up a move and we have to see which camera caught a angle of you not looking like a jackass. Real motavational stuff kids. Also wink wink, the reason you tape a show is so you can edit it genuis. Sorry I am ranting a little now, to get to the point she need's to be straight with the boys and in return they will bust there ass a little harder. But on the boy's in the back side of thing's you get lied to yelled out then berated and a certain point you loose the ability to give a shit. So long story short the turmoil is going on but they are starting to get the rudder straight and all involved feel like when Paul FINNALY get's here things will change for the better and the moral will improve 110% because say what you want about the man Paul ALWAYS shoots straight with the boys and will fight for the boys all day because in the end he knows those boys put food on his table.

I don't see what's wrong with telling "professionals" to be better at there jobs. Just a thought. Especially as it comes to making mistakes in ring, since thats a safety issue as much as anything else.

I don't dissagree with you mr. chop as profesionals you need to get called on the rug when your messing up but coming from someone with experince as a boss you need to work on moral and she hurt it big time. It was bad before but now it's in the toilet. If people need to be reasured and consoled and just want some job security and fell secure when your worried. You don't want to get your ass handed to you. It may be one of those you had to be there thigns but the situation and the vibe of the meeting was terrible.

I see your point. It's a delicate balancing act for sure. If they're looking for job security there in the wrong line of work unfortunately. I get that its taped and all but the talent shouldn't allow that to make them lazy or complacent. "oh we'll just reshoot that promo", "well just redo that spot". It's a bad attitude to take into a high stakes, and big money business. It maybe wasn't the right time for such a speech, given the uncertain times, but when is there a good time to get told you're fucking up?

I fully understand Dixie, Jeff, etc not telling people what the "big news/surprises" are because 1. they could easily fall through and 2. They don't want leaks in this internet era (hell, from what I can gather you work there in some capacity and are talking about internal goings on).

Are these guys little babies that need their mommy to hold their hand? Geez, you are making these guys out to sound like pussies. Maybe it's like you said, you had to have been there, but I can't really blame Dixie for ripping into guys, some of the stuff they have been doing is shit. I mean at least half the matches at VR were straight garbage, nobody should have had to pay to watch that.

Edit: I can see getting pissed off if you are being lied to, but I have no problem with management not telling the wrestlers everything that is going on, for the reasons mr chop listed.

no I agree the victory road matches could have been better and they deserved the beating they got to a degree I guess what I am saying is if your lieing to your people and not telling them the whole truth they will start to resent you. Also there was not one good job last night or hey you guys had a good match it was assripalooza. You got to give good with bad no matter where you work and balance it out but plus side today after the invasion last night finaly by the ecw guys today is going a lot smoother abd everybody brought there a game today

I dont consider this a spoiler as I am not giving any detailed info.......all that I'm going to say is that Dixie Carter tears the talent a new one and they go out there and put on a show in what has been considered "Must See TV" for this weeks Impact.

Boss calls you into the office and says that you need to increase your productivity or you are out. If you love what you do, you will obviously respond positively and take this as a challenge and go out there and put on a show...At least for one night, it seems as the talent didnt fold their tents, rather they built new ones.

Absolutely, different people respond differently I suppose. If they feel there job is in jeopardy, prove that you deserve a job. Duce, your stuff about ecw IS a spoiler, I'd edit that.

Apparently Dixie's talk has more to do with wasting time and money in post correcting fuckups than impressing anyone. Here's an idea, save money on high paying contracts rather than post production.

In regards to the chewing out one has to consider the over all situation. From what I have seen Dixie has been laid back and encouraging. So if that is true and she says good things most of the time they shouldnt need it when they are getting a tongue lashing. And if she is not calling out any one in particular then only the guilty ones should be upset. They are all professionals and I am sure the ones who did a good match can agree some of the other matches were not up to snuff. Finally as far as job security, they need to realize if they are not putting on a good product, they ALL could be out of jobs. The over all financial situation in this country is not back to where it was so money, especially for entertainment, is tight.

Its no secret that allot of fans are frothing at the mouth for Heymen. We have an individual, a mad genius of sorts whose greatest talent is motivating people. He has a simple philosophy, don't sell the fans on the match, the federation, the gimmicks. Sell them on the wrestlers. He managed to take the bottom of the barrel with ECW and create talent that previously WWF & WCW had snubbed their nose at. He repeated this success when he headed the Smackdown writing team going as far as making Smackdown a hotter product than RAW. He will help TNA. If anything the wrestlers need to relax a bit more, at least the guys who are willing to work.

I think this is closer to reality though than many realized. Jeff Jarrets clues are one thing, but him making sure to tell folks that its not a "Surprise" but news is the other. After all surprises can always let you down, while news is just news.

just my thoughts ladies and gentleman, just how I'm feeling at this time!

let me kind of chime in a little here... a long time ago in a galaxy, far, far away I when i lived in Massachusetts did some stuff for ECW when they'd come to Mass, been around a lot of those guys... I'll tell you this, two things you can say about Paul Heyman... He's a master manipulator who knows how to get out of people what he wants and he's a perfectionist! you don't think this whole meeting with Dixie is part of him coming in? 1: brings the morale to it's lowest point, keeps any kind of leaks from actually happening and when he does arrive... The world will know and TNA will be a whole different place... 2: Heyman again is a perfectionist which is why he wants full creative control and guess what guys... SpikeTV will help foot the bill, like with hogan, Flair and Foley... Heyman's BEST-FRIEND is Brock Lesnar, TNA and UFC already have a close relationship... Brock will make at least an appearance in TNA! Heyman will give 110% but he expects 200% out of the boys and it's only fair... To be The BEST, you have to act like The BEST! I'm calling it now Heyman will be at Hard justice. IMHO. Now as far as Dixie's meeting goes... They can't get mad at her... Grow up! It's like the meeting I had with my sales floor today... Some, if not a lot of them were slacking... Told them unless they were here for the money, here to put forth the effort and here to do everything to be the BEST... Then get to stepping, get out and don't let the door hit you... You might not wanna do it but you're grown folks, let's act like grown folks and do the job and what's BEST and RIGHT for the company... Guess why? When the company does good, you do good and when you do good, the company does good and eventually that always leads to more money all around! Also... IF everyone knows its not an if but WHEN situation with Paul coming in... That's a new boss, stop botching moves, costing the company money and then pissing and moaning about it when the fact is... YOU SHOULD BE STEPPING UP TRYING TO IMPRESS HIM! Especially if you know it's Paul F'N Heyman!

just my thoughts and how I'm feelin' at the time.

Really Dixie? You tell the guys stop fuckin around but you don't think Russo and Bischoof are doing a crappy job?

It really matters if Kendrick or Williams botched a snapmare in a Ultime X submission match?

Get a fuckin clue, you dumb bitch.

No chance. Rampage appeared on Raw because he was promoting the A-Team, but Dana White does not respect professional wrestling. He may respect the showmanship and what it can add to his product, but the product itself, no chance. The odds that Dana White would allow his top draw and World Heavyweight Champion to appear on the FAR number two wrestling show in N.America are slim to nil.

Heyman is far from the be all and end all of professional wrestling. Really, that's Vince McMahon. McMahon's been the only one with both the business (ie. money) skills, ruthlessness and creative side to make it work. You usually end up with people who have the business skills but lack the ruthlessness to make money and move the company ahead (Dixie), the ruthlessness and ability to handle money but lack the creativity to move the company ahead (Jim Cornette) or the ruthlessness and creativity but never learned the value of a dollar (Heyman).

Heyman is great creatively and when it comes to marketing, but when it comes to managing money he's just as bad as Bischoff.

That might be true but I do remember Tito Ortiz being on TNA for a story line. And while Dana might not respect wrestling, if Spike can work out something beneficial to UFC he might allow Brock to make an appearance or two.

Hell yeah! You scream on and/or address your workers when their not peforming up to snuff. Unless you have been priviledged to work for yourself and own your own company I cant see why you cant understand such a simple concept. For as bad as the booking may have been (which has been better lately), it still doesnt excuse you from execution. You excecute whatever is on paper because that is your job. Maybe she feels that the guys are not responding to the bookers and creative team because they are in "lame duck" status. OR maybe its just because she's tired of spending extra money or something that professionals in their respective sports should be able to exceute.

And if she felt that Russo and company were doing a good job, would she be actively pursuing Heyman as hard as she is right now. So it comes down to, do your fuckin job and I will handle the operations (replacing the creative team). Sounds like a good boss to me.

I'm pretty sure as long as they are not fighting or doing anything physical, MMA fighters need no permission to be on a wrestling show. At least I thought I remember hearing Dana say that.

^ Exactly nsf. Who said that Dixie didn't think Russo/Bischoff are doing a bad job? If they were doing great she probably wouldn't be talking to Heyman.

I doubt Heyman would bring in Brock. Doesn't he manage Brock? Surely bringing Brock into a second rate wrestling company would be a bad idea from that pint of view? Sure it would be great for TNA but it would do nothing for Lesnars MMA career.

Wouldnt help but wouldnt hurt either and if he and Paul are as tight as they seem, making an appearance to help Paul out is no big deal. Most people on here seem to think TNA needs more exposure so even a small mention on Sportscenter how MMA fighter Brock made an appearance at TNA would be something.

I would argue that it would hurt his perception. He's already associated with wrestling, seems to me he's made great strides to dissociate himself from the "former pro wrestler" tag. He's also not just ANY UFC fighter. He's THE UFC fighter, I doubt he could do something like that without discussing it with Dana White.

The difference between Tito and Brock is that at this point in history MMA is bigger than professional wrestling. There is no upside to Brock appearing on TNA and, like Chop said, he's been trying to shake the "former pro wrestler" tag for years.

Tito was under UFC contract when he made that appearance?

Few points to add to the conversation...

    - I can confirm that Brock/Heyman are good friends... Brock was happy when Heyman was booker through late 2003, but Brock soon soured on WWE management when Heyman was DEMOTED as Smackdown booker heading into 2004, along with working a painful schedule (schedule seemed to upset him the most). Heyman would have to build an empire in TNA to buy Lesnar 5 years from now when Lesnar has exhausted his MMA abilities.

    - McMahons and UFC are on good terms right now, and things seem to really improve once Brock was free to fight in UFC and UFC appears appreciative that Lesnar has built in popularity from his WWE days. I have heard that they've shared "tricks of the trade" on camera angles, production, and promoting... Probably realizing that they aren't truly in competition with each other.

I still think this could have been completely avoided if Dixie would have snatched up Gabe when ROH let him go. He would prolly come cheaper than Heyman and if they still wanted to bring in the Hogan/Easy E combo it could have worked. I could be wrong but there should be no heat between any of those parties, so melding of the groups could have happened.

    Since we are confirming:

I can confirm that Gabe used the likes of Samoa Joe and Homicide and various other current TNA wrestlers better than anyone else.
I can confirm that Heyman may not be enough to save TNA at this point.
I can comfirm that Abyss & Jesse neal are waste of sperm and egg
I can confirm that Rob Terry sucks and Orlando Jordan blows
and I can confirm that confirming the obvious makes you look retarded

When tito says he can confirm, he means from personal inside sources at the time of the events ... its not like he is distributing common knowlege, he is giving actual confirmation to what we all suspect due to inference and situational evidence.

Paul Heyman hanging out with Brock at UFC 116 isn't enough evidence?

He was hanging out with the Rock too, should we infer that he is friends enough with The Rock that he could effect his job performance?

LOL...I work for a Union. If my supervisor raises their voice at me I raise mine back.

Seriously? Business doesn't run better by yelling at your workers.
Yelling, may have been too strong of a term but putting an emphasis on ones work and holding them accountable for their work would fall under the same thing.

I have worked for a union and I have fired people within my company who are represented by a union and who have failed to produce sufficient #'s on a consistent basis. A union cannot protect you if you are not doing what you are supposed to be doing.

Does the wrestlers in TNA have a union? so that point is moot my friend. And, Dixie addressed the roster, I dont recall it ever ecsclating into a shouting match to begin with. Yelling isnt always the answer. As a supervisor, you need to find what motivates your staff. Some may need a different form of motivation than others so that is very argumentative.

You guys are right, Tito is an asshole for providing information that pertains to what we are all debating. WHAT A CUNT! Jesus fucking titty fuck!

Not everyone on here watches UFC, so wouldn't have seen Heyman hanging out with Brock.
