Thread: Cena heel turn. NEXUS rub. ( unlikely to have read this before )

Cena turning heel would make sense here he could make a rant about how he tricked everyone etc. At the sametime I think Cena is to much of a role model to kids to turn heel. Would WWE wanna risk losing merchandise sales if Cena turns heel? I would rather want to see Cena turn heel at a surprising moment not when we could possibly expect it.

People always talk about WWE's reluctance to turn Cena based on merch sales, but has anyone ever thought that maybe Cena doesn't want to lose that income? WWE contracts in 2010 include a big chunk of merch sales (and that's coming straight from the mouth of an Ex-WWE Guy to my ear) and smaller downsides (with PPV bonuses and a PO for every house show to try and make up for those who don't move merch). Cena already works most house shows and all PPVs, so its not like he can just up his house show numbers for more POs, maybe he doesn't want to take the pay cut.

People shit all over Vince Russo because he killed WCW. It was like he and Vince were in cahoots.

Thank you, that was totally relevant to the topic. The more you know...

John Cena or anybody else joining Nexus would be the stupidest thing ever done. Nexus doesn't need another member. Thats the whole point of Nexus...rookies bucking the establishment. John Cena IS the establishment. Instead of all the attention being on NEXUS "like it should be" the attention will be on Cena. The only person who needs to join Nexus is their lost 8th member, and I'm sure you all know who that is.

I see what your saying, but wouldn't it be, in kayfabe terms, with John Cena joining being the "ultimate system buck" by doing so? By having the "golden boy" of WWE join the rebels of WWE, that would be using the system against the WWE itself.

"I never saw Frank, Dean, Sammy, or Peter drunk during performances. That was only a gag! And do you believe these guys had to chase broads? They had to chase 'em away!"

Are they really going to turn Cena heel? I just started watching the E again and Cena is a beast as a face. He's the best in the business.

-*- I have come to realize that Cena is "The Man" -*-
