    Triple H Thread

So, now that he's been out for 3 weeksish....

How long before you reckon he returns?
What will he do when he returns?
How long before he's in the title picture?

His return will be at Summerslam for on of the following.
    A) Sheamus beats John Cena to win the WWE Championship in a match that will put Cena out of action for a couple of months.
    B) four weeks before Summerslam to challenge Sheamus to their rubber match in some sort of NO-DQ match.

That could happen, but I hope it doesn’t. Besides isn’t he off filming a movie or something? I think he’ll be gone for at least a couple more months. RAW is so deep and loaded with talent anyways there is no reason to rush Triple H back even if Orton is seriously injured. I’d much rather they put Jericho in the match as the fourth wrestler.

Just depends on how many more guys keep getting hurt and how badly they need him. I WISH he went heel again because he was a beast as a bad guy and now that Shawn is retired, he doesn't need to stay face to sell out DX merchandise. He's still a draw in the business so it really just depends how much time he wants to spend at home and if any big names go down.

I think he would probably return in October.
He will defintely exact revenge on Sheamus. They will probably have a Hell in a Cell match at the hell in a cell ppv.
He would probably be back in the world title picture after his feud with Sheamus.

If you think the WWE will keep HHH out of action until October, you're crazy. As much as I don't give a shit about him anymore, the WWE thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread. He'll be back within a month most likely. Maybe even screw Sheamus out of the WWE Title at the next PPV.

Just watched a shoot interview with Road Dogg and Billy Gunn and holy shit, if I didn't have respect for them before I have none for them now.

Like, he called Triple H a bitch for...staging an intervention to try and help him with his drug problem. And when Dogg threw it back in his face and called him a narc, Trips pretty much just let him be and Dogg says that was backstabbing him.

Holy shit, I've never seen two more bitter fucks than these two.

    Also Triple H and stuff.
Oh noooo, don't stick your foot in there, guys.
You tried that, once before and you know it didn't turn out right.!

Nah, it's on the DL on all the regular sites.

Also my thoughts on HHH have always been he's not bad in the ring, but he's not my cup of tea. People cry about him not putting people over and being married to Steph, but to be completely honest, as a person I think he's probably a real good guy. I know he probably gets a ton of shit from dirt sheets because of saying something or liking someone or whatever, but check some of this shit out.

I mean, I don't care man. That's some classy shit.

I don't think that has much to do with whether or not he's a good classy guy. He's a company man, and probably saved the company a lawsuit this way.

I'm not saying HHH is a bag of assholes. But this isn't really proof that he's a saint either. I respect him for it, but it might not have come from the same good intentions you see it as.

I dunno dude. I think that kind of shit is pretty cool. He didn't have to do any of that. It seemed a lot more genuine to me then some publicity stunt or dodging a bullet.

Trips seriously needs to come back as a heel. Or at least after he destroys Sheamus.

I'm with Oni on that. I've been to live shows and The most I see after the show is the baby face clapping hands with everyone. Hunter didn't have to bring the kid in the ring, let alone acknowledge the guy.

As for the little girl, He has children of his own. No one who has kids likes seeing a kid cry.

I think hunter is a decent guy, yeah he's a company guy, but that's something to proud of, not looked down upon.

I'd say you can't praise Cena then blast HHH for being company men.

^ Agreed. Anybody that reads my posts knows I'm not a Triple H fan and I will criticize him for every minute thing I can think of...BUT the video above and the news article reflect the fact that Triple H, whether its "company policy" or not, is a true professional when it comes to taking the extra step to please the fans. He also respects the industry's time-honored tradition of making personal connections to fans, something that TNA has recently put ALOT of emphasis on in their house shows, but that WWE can not often do. Also, finally, in the video, the fan seems to have MR and/or Down's Syndrome. I'm not sure how many other wrestling fans on this board have had experience with individuals with disabilities (cognitive, physical, or other), but there are many people with disabilities who LOVE pro-wrestling and I have always admired the WWE for the fact that they are very inclusive and welcoming to this part of the audience, especially at live events.

So, for once, I'm not gonna bash Triple H on his own thread....

Sorry, can't resist: I hope Triple H comes back and puts over the guys that need to be put over, not himself. I hope Triple H comes back and actually shows some vulnerability instead of just recycling the same feuds and catchphrases we've seen him have for the past 5 years. And, I know its unlikely, but I hope he respects Flair enough not to surpass his World Championship record.

    Interesting tidbit...

Triple H is rumored to have undergone surgery for a torn tendon in his arm.

His SummerFest return could be off the table now.

So Triple H is headlining a concert festival in Milwaukee?

The difference between trips and guys like cena is that trips has built his way up the company to become who he is today. Yea hes part of the family but, personally, i can still see him with the same power even if he werent and thats cos he always has the company in mind. Im liking WWE tv without him on it but i think he was at his best when he was on Smackdown just because he wasnt live and had to do different stuff. I would love to see trips get a nexus beat down the first night he is back.

    No HHH at Summerslam.

    Boo hoo.

Don't get me wrong I'd like to see him back, but it's like with HHH we know what we're going to get. It's not like they're going to give him a whole new creative dynamic or anything. Everyone knows he's going to crush Sheamus when he returns.

No big loss. I wasn’t exactly looking forward to Triple H vs. Sheamus at SummerSlam anyways.

Besides now that he is off TV anyways he might as well get all medical issues cleared up before returning so that he doesn’t have to take another hiatus. Even if it keeps him out a few additional months, RAW isn’t exactly hurting without him.

I agree that it's pretty unlikely. HBK seemed to take Flair's return to the ring as a personal affront, a betrayal of trust. I can only imagine VKM and HHH are equally if not more disgusted. The idea that Nature Boy's records will be respected by the WWE, especially while he continues to embarrass himself with TNA, is regrettably difficult to believe.

Isn't the 16 time thing kind of a bullshit anyway? I'm sure Flair said somewhere that he only acknowledges 12 of them. someones going to go past the 16. Cena, Edge and trips are all up there.

Also, does HBK have an issue with Flair returning? I don't remember seeing that anywhere.

  26. #26
It's mostly reading-between-the-lines stuff, some of which you can find here. Clearly, he's being as diplomatic as possible: "I'm not angry or disappointed or anything." But he did subsequent interviews, which you can find on that same site and several others, where he said he wouldn't come back to the WWE because it would be disrespectful to the fans and to the Undertaker, that reneging on their pact would be dishonorable. He also said that other people had made similar comebacks after vowing to leave the business, and that he didn't want to be one of them. The implication was fairly unambiguous.

I don't see it. Certainly not a personal affront. Hell, I can't think of any wrestler that hasn't come back after retiring. Shit, HBK did it a few times didn't he?

As for the 16 time thing, I doubt it comes into there booking. Since they're pretty much ignoring Flairs existence now, I doubt they'd mention it if/when someone beats the 16.

  28. #28
I might have overstated the case, but I stand by the point that HBK wasn't thrilled with Flair's decision, and I'm sure the brass isn't, either. That said, we both seem to agree that Flair's records will be broken, and I would expect HHH to be just one of the guys who does it.

Congratulations are in order to Trips and Steph who apparently just had their third daughter. At this rate HHH will be thei first, and last, Levesque to hold the WWE Championship.

They've all been born around the same time, too. It's almost like they wanna make sure there's not a baby due during WrestleMania season.

I'd normally give him some shit saying he's not man enough to will a boy, but since I also have three daughters I won't.

But this means they have to be conceived sometime around mid-December to early January.
