This looks pretty cool.....but at the same time, I dont know about making Mortal Kombat into a 'realistic' movie of sorts.....I mean, the old mortal kombat(the first one, not the lame ass second one) that was cool, cause they didn't try to make it seem real....thats what Mortal Kombat is supposed to be. This.....i dunno about.
I just saw this, and I agree, it would be a great movie.

Warner Brothers now owns the rights to The Mortal Kombat movie rights and their have been rumors of them wanting to reboot the franchise differently. Maybe this is what they had in mind and are seeing if people would be intersted in such a big change.
God knows but I hope something comes out of it to be honest.

I hope it's a movie. It looks fucking crazy. After watching that I want to see it. Scorpion is my all time favorite MK Character. and I'd love to watch him whoop some serious ass Ninja Assassin style.
Nice to see Michael Jai White game for something like this. Black Dynamite can hopefully gives him a little boost. I think that was Jeri Ryan as Sonya.

Baraka wasn't a human, neither was Reptile.
The Sub-Zero that Scorpion killed was the one that appeared in the first game, the bad one who became Noob. The one from the second and third game was a good guy. Not so sure about the fourth game, which has aged terribly btw.
If they actually make this movie, it's good to see they finally cast the right guy for Jax.

I think they were going for a little more realism and needed a way to explain Reptile and Baraka. They might lose some of the core devotees with a reboot like this, but I think they'd attract a whole new group of people who otherwise wouldn't have seen something like this to replace them. However, if they didn't lose them with that Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe abortion than they don't have to worry.
