    Mr. Anderson Thread

I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread for this guy already. I was a bit apphrensive when he first came to TNA, but his character has become really interesting over the past few weeks. And his fued with Kurt Angle produced one of the best cage matches in a long time. This guy has been on fire lately. What's next for him? What does the Slammiversary card have in store for Mr. Anderson?

I like his "self-admitted asshole" gimmick, and the crowd embracing their own inner asshole-ness makes it just that much sweeter.

    ^^^LMAO!!!!

The realization of being an asshole is so damn refreshing. I cannot wait for the "Im an asshole" T-shirt and letting everyone know just how great it is to be an asshole.

Seriously, Mr. Anderson is the most entertaining wrestler on TV right now.

Anderson is the best thing in TNA at the moment. I just wanna see him get a decent win at a PPV. I'm not so sure about the tag team match though.

Anderson proved with the Angle feud that he is capable of being a TNA main eventer.

I like him as both a face & a heel but I'd rather see him as a heel, so he can get a decent championship feud going with RVD. Could you imagine the insults he'd have for RVD. Shit would be hilarious.

Anderson for TNA Champ and this coming from an RVD fan.

Anderson cracks me up. He's one of the few guys, including RVD and The Pope, that I feel TNA is treating better than WWE did.

It's good to see more Anderson fans.

The guy used to be the main reason I bought all those smackdown PPV's back when he was on smackdown. I loved his matches with the Undertaker.

    He's an Asshole.

    No, really.

Im not a big fan of Anderson's promos (though in this day and age they pretty good I guess), but I am a fan of what he does inside the ropes, the guy has become a very good wrestler. His feud with Angle was by far the best thing Hogan-TNA has put out, and that's not a knock, that feud was excellent.

^ that blow off match was excellently done. If TNA does break out from here, its going to need Mr. Kenderson to be the man who does it. He has the crowd eating from his hand. He is still young and can be the face of the company. If he is in the World title picture, I will watch more often. Something about RVD doesn't seem right in his current run.

I personally think Pope will be the guy (if any) who breaks TNA out, but between the two of them it could at least be entertaining and get them attention of nothing else. I wonder how AJ feels knowing that he's been there from the beginning, he's been "Mr. TNA" forever, he was the face of the whole damn company...but he just doesn't have the natural charisma to carry it.

The Pope and Anderson are the two guys who could lead TNA. Matt Morgan is a close third, with guys like Jay Lethal, Desmond Wolfe and Robert Roode on the outside just waiting to break out and Kurt Angle is the workhorse veteran (Shawn Michaels-esque).
Let's face it, the TNA originals (AJ, Joe) are not currently product leading guys. AJ is great in the ring, but a retard as a main event heel, and white bread as a face. Joe is too out of shape to be head of a company.
And those who are currently being pushed as the main event (RVD, Hardy, Sting) are being sought after due to past accomplishments. These guys should be the back-bone in regards to their in ring selling (RVD and Jeff are phenomenal at making others look like stars) and their kayfabe story-line rubs (a feud with Sting is always a boost to your overness).

I can't wait for the Pope to come back too. An Anderson vs Pope feud wouldnt be too shabby either. Can you imagine the promos leading up to the match...absolute gold.

AJ has been in this position before when the Angles and the Christian Cages of the world came into TNA. I think TNA needs to just let AJ be AJ. AJ isnt going to make you laugh, but he has that natural likeability which you cant teach. Yes, this is an entertainment based business moreso now than ever before, but AJ is one of those exceptions where his ring work speaks louder than anything that he can say on the mic. He has that natural underdog look that people would flock to support.

AJ cannot carry the company, but I think that TNA has a lot of pieces (Pope, Anderson, Morgan, etc) who can take on that job as as whole rather than as an individual.

If I was forced to pick someone who is just over and can carry the torch, it would have to be the Pope and Anderson. I would then put AJ on that very next level

I agree with the MournDespana, as much as I like RVD & as much as I wanna see him defend the title for a while, something just isn't right about him. I've yet to see him in an exciting fight. I guess he just can't do what he used to do anymore.

Anderson & The Pope would be a quality feud, especially if it had the added incentive of the title. Those two guys could easily keep it go for 2/3 PPV's.

I must be in the minority because I actually like AJ Styles more now than I did BEFORE the whole partnership with Flair thing. I don't think his mic skills have improved too much, but at least they're giving him an opportunity to show that he can play the whiny heel, which I think he is pretty good at.

As for Anderson...I've been a fan of his work for years, but I'm not sure what his future entails. Beef with Randy Orton may keep him out of the WWE for the foreseeable future, in which case, he should probably focus a bit more on acting because who knows how long TNA can last and, unless he is able to secure fat deals in Japan or Mexico, the US indy scene will not make you rich or famous. Also, his current Asshole gimmick is interesting and makes for good TV, but it obviously wouldn't fly in the WWE and, at the end of the day, that is where every wrestler should want to be.
