Welcome back to the ever-changing Lords of Pain Wrestling eWrestling Encyclopedia fan-based wikia site that archives all information related to the LPW universe. For the month of May, we not only reached the 500-article mark to gain top billing among all sports wikis, but today we hit the 600-article mark with that honor going to White Falcon's The Newest Testament promo. The inclusion of storing promos (and collections of promos for that matter) will really increase the size of the site and I'll try to store what I can. Re-coding takes awhile so it won't be overnight, but if you want to send any work you may have, send to lpwinsanity@yahoo.com and I'll take a crack at it when I have time.
Also, if you take a look at the front page, we've increased the Featured E-Wrestler of the Month from one person to a whopping 17 e-wrestlers. This will be an ever-changing list as part of a new portal. Our first round of features go to Drew Michaels, Hatchet Ryda, Mass Chaos, Ash Strife, cYnical, Eddie B, Andy Savana, X, the Watchmen, Jude Maxwell, Styxx, and Sheepster. Also, the front page should see a bit of a makeover in the coming weeks, so take a look for that.
Last month, the LPW Wiki also gained a brief Wikia Spotlight. At the bottom of each wiki site, three spotlights will pop-up for other wikias. We only had the status for a week, but the articles from our main page saw a huge increase in readership. My only problem is we need a new spotlight sig (since its a picture of Christian and I'd like to remove any misconceptions that LPW is NOT WWE), so if anyone could work out something for me with that, it would be terrific.
And finally, one cool thing you can also view is LPW Wikia Statistics. Basically this tool tracks all activity among the site. It may look confusing at first, but it's pretty neat to see how far the site has progressed, such as the number of articles, images, even how many unique registered editors who edited at least one article, 5 articles, or the number of editors who contributed 100 times or more in a current month. Take a look. As always, if you're registered you will not be subject to ads. If we would get up to 10 registered editors who make at least 5 edits a month, I believe I saw something on the main Wikia site that our site would be higher rated to be included as a better featured spotlight wikia. A recent announcement said the last month alone saw 33 million people took a look at least one fan-based wikia.

Must have been too much to ask for.
On the bright side, now I can be accused of holding another totally unfounded, completely biased, and utterly irrational grudge!

If I may interject good sir, we established this last week that if a promo is written for this fed (LPW) and if it is used for a match in this fed (LPW) it is officially property of LPW and the writer to use as deemed fit.

Now, I understand that De likes basing his character off of my previous work, and uses my old promos as a blueprint and that's fine. His character is different enough from mine (thank goodness). Without them, he would be totally lost.
But just jacking them?
Honestly, all that had to be done was to ask. I have them all, and would have been happy to assist, but as I was saying, asking, or even just a heads up, must have been just to hard to get past the grudges, I guess.

Lol, yes sir I did say that. I also said it is property of LPW to use as deemed fit. I can understand that you would like to have your permission first but if you submit a promo, match, or show for the fed known as LPW then it could be used accordingly by the fed as needed. If they wanted to show someone how we do promos that would be a great example of how to do it. If they wanted to make it the promo of the month, well then that's well and good too. I can understand being a little ticked, trust me we've all been there. But I'd consider it more of an honor than anything. I mean out of all the people who have ever competed in LPW, all the characters, all the superstars, management, whatever...you had your promo named as one of the best of all time. If I had an honor like that I'd feel great, then again we're different people and we have different perspectives on a lot of things.
That's what makes the world go round brother. That and the gravitational pull we receive from the sun keeping us in alignment and orbit with said object.
Conspiracy...I like it, you should do a column on the BP Spill and how big of a clusterfucked conspiracy that is.
My apologies Wevv, this is 100% my mistake. To reiterate my PM, there was no ill intention, but I completely understand your point as to jacking them. Since your past promos have been top notch, I wanted to archive your promos before the board crashed and often I read your promos as a way to get away from other avenues of stress, reading them, learning PWA past, etc. It was a lot of fun and I was hoping to maybe just say, "Surprise!, if you wanted all your promos in a nice, easy-to-navigate setting, I got your hook up." Instead, it was a "Surprise, I jacked all your work". Of course, I'd be upset if someone jacked my work before saying anything, so I procrastinated and it didn't turn out.
Anyways, due to my mistake, all 40 promos have been deleted and removed to avoid any further issue.
Due to this miscommunication, I'll be asking writers if they want to have any promos or works archived before taking any further action. This is meant to honor and pay tribute to everyone as fantastic writers, but I don't want to step on any more feet.

You want to steal not just mine, but every single person who has ever been in LPW/PWA's written works?

Well, here's my equally valid decision.
No. They're MY promos, not yours. You do not have any right to them.
It's stealing. Plain and simple. You can sugar coat it however you want, but all you're really saying is "It's mine because I want it!!!!". Great rationale there. If you're two.
The backdating is really cute. That's some tyrannical bullshit right there.
You people really have no idea how a contract works do you? None at all. It's just plain embarrassing.
Now, let's get something straight.
If that complete ownership decision is supported by everyone taking part in the fed, then it's a new rule. It only effects things going forward from that point. Period. It has to be written down in the rules, and also, as a COURTESY, should be in the sign up thread, so that when people sign up, they know what they're getting in to. Giving up everything they write.
You have NO VALID CLAIM WHATSOEVER to previously written promos. Characters are a completely different matter, but actual promos? NO. They belong to the writer.

I'm inclined to agree with Wevv, if only because copyright law was something I had to do some research into recently for a job. Two big quotes that apply here I would think.
"However, it must be remembered that copyright has two main purposes, namely the protection of the author's right to obtain commercial benefit from valuable work, and more recently the protection of the author's general right to control how a work is used."
"The author's right to control what is done with a work, however, has some validity, even if it has no commercial value."
This basically covers that Wevv's work, regardless of commercial value would be his to use as seen fit or not used. Unless LPW has somewhere that all works are no longer the creative property of the writer, but in fact the forums. Which would be rather hard to do in a domain like this where so much of the material posted is already copyrighted by other organizations. If something is changed in the future and put in writing, it would effect everything after the fact, not beforehand.
Guys plain and simple if Wev doesnt want his creative work on the site it doesnt belong on it. Don't make it more than t needs to be. Last time I checked we didnt have contracts like a real wrestling thing. Wevv isnt getting paid for his promos to be bput on the sit it is his descion and it should be respected.
So we also can't archive events because the matches written were by someone? Then why even bother having them.
I like how Wevv has COMPLETELY ignored Mask's post.
Wevv if you had a problem, or you wanted to raise an issue, couldn't you have just asked in a striaghforward manner instead of ranting about grudges and conspiracies. LPW Wiki is run by Mask and two other people who weren't even apart, and maybe including Mask's case weren't even around when these grudges started.
ps: Also, what is anybody actually losing by having promos regarded as "One of the Greatest Ever." and "This is how a good promo is written." You basically took a compliment of the highest order and shoved it back on everybody's face.
Also, how many people outside of the ones who have already seen your promo reads the Wiki do you think? Also are you losing in actual money? Has LPW said these promos were written by LPw and NOT by Wevv Mang?
If you've decided you don't want to be remembered in LPW or want to tell LPW to go fuck itself, then just say it and go. If you legitimately want to sort this out with a proper authority on the Wiki ( Seth Omega is NOT a proper guy to talk to it about) Then do so.

Styxx most of us dont care if our stuff is on the website. But if someone does it is thier work so it should be up to the individual who produced it. I understand from a historical standpoitn where your coming from but I dont agree with you. The issue should be between Wevv and Krim not us.
