Favorite Simpsons Character (Not Named Homer)

Other than Homer (who you can list if you really want to) what Simpsons characters do you like the most?

All good choices. Willie always makes me laugh. Both Wiggums (Ralph & Chief) are funny, so is Moe and of course Lenny & Carl.

That’s true most of the time, but did you see the latest Sideshow Bob episode that aired a week or so ago? It was pretty underwhelming. The best Sideshow Bob episode in my opinion is Sideshow Bob Roberts from Season Six when he runs for Mayor.

i like all the simpsons characters but if i had to narrow it down to one outside of Homer, Im going to go with Ralph Wiggum " Thats the rock where i saw the leprechaun, he told me to burn things ", i crack up every time i see that episode when him and Bart became friends.

Lenny is underrated too. The episode where Burns moves the plant to India was on the other day, when he announces to the Springfield crew that they've all lost their jobs, Lenny stands up and says "But I just bought a 3 million dollar house!" and I laughed my ass off.

Mr. Teeny is the name of Krusty's monkey on the show.

That was definitely a huge loss for the show. Whenever in the new episodes you see Gill show up, you know that’s a place where one of the Phil Hartman voiced characters would’ve shown up.

I don’t really know why it is, but my favorite Lenny line ever is from the episode Homer vs. Dignity where Mr. Burns hires Homer to be his “prank monkey” and gets him to start throwing stuff at people and he hurls a pudding cup at Lenny who cries out “Ow! My eye. I am not supposed to get pudding in it.” It makes me laugh every time.

Gotta go with either Moe or Ralph Wiggum. Basically couldn't pick two more different characters but they are good for laughs (pretty much all the time) in very different ways.

My personal favorite is Professor Frink. The nerd in me loves these stereotypes.

Doesn't surprise me that almost all of the characters mentioned here have been around since the 90's. People rarely mention characters that have surfaced in the past 10 years or probably a bit more.

damnit. 2 quotes of al birdy for me. but ive got to agree.
lionel hutz is the best side character the simpsons has ever had. period. i could quote hutz all night.
the problem is, the characters have all become shitty, because the show is shitty.

all the characters were great in season 4-8, then they became shells of themselves.
ralph is overrated. why people love the retarded kid, ill never know.
why no one has mentioned principal seymore skinner is a shocker. he his absolutely hilarious whether it be his vietnam flashbacks or his interactions with his mother...all genuis.

Comic Book Guy, for one scene of interaction with Bart.

Spider Pig is fucking hilarious but i guess that is mostly due to Homer

^ What? I urinated when I saw that.

Hans Moleman is cooler than the Simpsons themselves.

How? That entire movie was an abortion to the franchise. Just a terrible terrible movie with zero laughs.
Maybe I'm old and jaded and have watched the downfall of The Simpsons.
The problem lies with the writers. When The Simpsons was in its prime it was written by comedians and people who knew comedy. Now it's written by Ivy Leaguers who dumb down their jokes because they think less of their fans.

The movie was great. It was everything I expected and more. I’ve watched the show from the start, seen every episode, and own all the DVD’s so basically I consider myself a Simpsons nerd whose expectations for the movie were high and they were met. It was written by a who’s who of Simpson’s writers from every season, it was basically a Simpson’s all-star team that put it together.

Well my friend, we're going to have to agree to disagree, because there's no way you're chaning my mind that the movie was a pile of shit. The best part of the movie (for me) was I sat a few rows behind a kid who was a little late on the (sic) lame jokes. Like when they went to Alaska and you saw "Eski-Moes" the audience laughed. About 5 seconds after the punchline this kid say there as said, "Ohhhh, Eski-Moe's," and proceeded to chuckle to himself.
