    The R-Truth Thread

I figured the new US Champion needs his own thread, and I don't see one so I thought that I'd start it. The big question is what’s next for him on RAW? I am probably one of the few people here that is actually happy he won the US Championship last night, but he is a great athlete, a good wrestler, and has potential to be a pretty big deal in the WWE. Now that he's got the US Belt he'll be allowed to show what he can do. It’s definitely sink or swim for him now.

Its hard to call where Truth goes from here. Its his first singles title with the company. I'd like to see him become a fighting champion and defend the belt often. As much as I like the Miz , he hardly ever put the US title up. Truth has potential heel challengers like Regal , Ryder , Kozlov and Dibiase. Of course , he could just drop it in a month. Im gunna have a wait and see attitude towards his title win.

I like that Truth won the US title, but it is still hard to believe that he went over Dibiase. I would like to see that feud to continue for now.

I agree that it would be good if he is a fighting champion but I really couldn't take Regal or Ryder serious as challengers.

I hope to see Jericho and miz have another shot at the tag titles at the next PPV then for Jericho to enter the US title scene and miz to have a high profile nontitle feud before stepping up to main event level.

The most over non main eventer face (Besides Santino) on RAW has a title, now to see where he goes with it.

I am not a R-Truth mark, but he certainly has made the most of his current run and I still think he has a great shot at breaking through this year. He did his time in the low card area and even was a basically a jobber on Smackdown. He is not young so this may be his best chance at a big run. I have liked his matches as of late and hope it continues.
Have a good wrestling related wrestling video? A match you think is awesome? A fun promo, shoot, or just a great moment you found? Watch and/or post some at: [Online Wrestling Video Thread]

So a guy is loved because of his entrance music??? I've seen weirder I guess personally I havt dislike Killings for a very long time. This is wrestling not DDR, IMO he doesnt do awhole that is "special" in the ring anymore.

I'm glad he is the champ, he seems to work hard at being a WWE superstar, and is really entertaining.

I'm glad there's been so many positive statements about R-Truth so far on this thread. I went off on a rant elsewhere on the boards about Truth, but I think I'll summarize it here...

R-Truth has gotten alot of shit over the years for working hard. He was in the WWE for about a minute and a half in the 00s, flopped, and was released. He climbed his way back up on the independents when most ANYBODY would've thought he'd give up and go back to what he was doing BEFORE wrestling (namely, bouncing, failed hip-hop albums, and slinging crack). Instead, he ends up an NWA World Champion, wrestling for TNA, and soldiering on. Very very slowly-but-surely, he even had a few IWC fans that would admit (in public) that they thought he was a good worker. For the most part, though, he got shit on. Alot. For his goofy raps. For his goofy dancing. For his being considered a one-dimensional novelty character.

He came back to WWE and toiled in the midcard. He feuded with nobodies and continued to slowly-but-surely make some fans in the audience and even gain a few supporters on the IWC. Obviously, this mirrored what was going on backstage to some degree. When R-Truth first got back to the 'E, there had to be some who thought "What is this guy doing back here? He flopped once already and he hasn't changed his gimmick at all." BUT, over time, he proved he could get over now and has improved as an in-ring performer.

You gotta give props to a guy that had so many doubters, in the IWC, in the general audience, and obviously backstage, and really worked hard to overcome each challenge. Nobody can say that this guy doesn't care about the business or that he got handed anything. Street cred? This guy has as much as all the Daniel Bryans and CM Punks in this world, but because he never fought a Japanese or RoH style, he doesn't get enough credit for the years and years he has wrestled (when, as I said earlier, upon his initial release from the WWE, he could've easily ended up in the 'Where Are They Now?' category).

If that Limp Bizkit shit makes a comeback I'm boycotting music.

Hey, 3 Dollar Bill Ya'll was pretty good...everything after that was shit, I'll give you that.

And now off to Youtube I go to listen to Cypress Hill's Skull & Bones.

And as for Truth, I still don't like his flippy flop moveset, but other than that, he ain't bad.

More like R-Token. He isn't really that skilled on the mat. He tries to trick you into thinking he can wrestle by twisting around and doing cartwheels. But really thats diva stuff. Kelly Kelly can do a cartwheel and they arent putting her in a MIIB match for a chance at a title.
