JTG has a career?
Welcome to the JTG thread. Brooklyn's finest is now on his own, and feel free to discuss his career here.
JTG has a career?
The sad thing is I would love to have seen him feud with McIntyre for the IC belt in a few months time.
I'm just glad he's on tv. Just waiting to see what direction they take with him. Kofi's with Drew, Christian is with Dolph, maybe a JTG vs Rhodes fued for few weeks might make some tv

He teamed with MVP for a match on Smackdown. Not a good idea, too much Ballin', and JTG dances. Well we'll see how it goes. I just don't see McMahon pushing him. JTG is not exactly the biggest guy, and his comical of a character to be taken seriously as a singles wrestler, and his still really young. I just think he should be in a tag team, I am actually liking the teaming with a wannabe gangsta white guy, until a true break up could be done. The Cryme Tyme break up was rushed and sloppy, and in the end neither will be better off. I guess JTG's biggest hope is right now the WWE is trying to push African-American wrestlers to see if any get over and expand their fan base.
Exactly what I was thinking. There were enough people for others to get over on. I'm afraid that some people may be right and this could lead to both being futured endevored. If they didn't want to put the titles on them or put them in the mix, then don't there was absolutetly no reason to seperate them yet

"Folks, we're getting a new email here. Our new GM is demanding more Dog Kennel matches. And belly rubs."
In my opinion, JTG needs a complete revamp if he is to be successful. His character is not one of a main eventer. His entrance, his move set, everything needs altered. Then I think he could be potentially be quite successful.
JTG has TNA written all over him...
That's ma boyo...
I just don't see it. I think he's only marginally above average and there are literally dozens of guys that could do more with his spot right now. If I were making the decisions I'd find him a new tag team partner, maybe a straight man to his gimmicky persona, like Al Snow with Steve Blackman. They wouldn't be the next tag team champions or anything, but it could at least take someone on the verge of getting the axe and keep them around a little longer.
That, or give him a complete revamp and stick him with a partner.
I do agree that a revamp is in order, how far the revamp goes is another question.
To my memory he's only 24 maybe 25 so his potential upside with more time alone as a singles wrestler is what's keeping him there I think. He was always better as a promo than Shad and I do see a lot of untapped charisma.
I beleive he's not a immediate player, but more of a long term project type of guy.
yeah, but how?? The last 2 changes in gimmick did work in Jericho and Miz. But Jericho could make people eating sirloin mad because it's not spam. JTG needs a refinement he already has a unique look, he just needs a program to show who he is in front of the fans. He had a match against Rhodes, that could lead to something especially with the history between them when they were in the tag team division. That could build to something that doesn't involve a belt, or you can side them with Christian vs Dolph & Vickie

Cryme Tyme got me excited to watch. JTG singles, not so much. Think about it. Would you rather see Robert Plant or Led Zeppelin? Some guys just need to be in teams.
