So a former teammate of Armstrong's says that Lance knew about and endorsed doping for his team. The Feds seemingly want proof that Armstrong doped. Why does anyone care? Of course Armstrong took PEDs. If every cyclist takes drugs, and Armstrong dominates all of them, how could he be clean?

Yes, Armstrong's rep will be destroyed if there is proof that he doped, but if he would simply admit to it the public would forgive him. He'd still be the American hero who dominated everyone else. A tarnished hero, but still a hero.
