I seem to remember it being after UFC 100, so we'll say UFC 102, which happened on August 29. So, to that end, how about we finish up with UFC 118, then start the new league. If not then, we might as well finish out the year, then start fresh in January.

^Thats what I was thinking, since a good portion of the regulars now weren't in it in the beginning. Now would be a good time to stop, because first, second, and third could all change at 118. It'll be intense, and a good way to finish.

It really depends on how many people play. If, say, ten people participated, first place would get 10 points, second 9, third 8, and so forth. In the event of a tie, say for fourth place, both of the people who tied would get 7 points and the sixth place person would be lowered to 5 points.
As for each separate event, 10 points are awarded for the correct winner, 15 points for the correct finish (submission, knockout, decision, etc.), and 1 point for the correct round. If someone gets all three correct, a 15 point bonus is added for the fight. For the bonus questions, its 5 points for a correct response, and minus 1 point for an incorrect response. We add em all up and the person with the most points wins.
It's not too bad actually. If you predict the winning fighter, you get 10 points. You get 15 if you predict the correct method of victory. you get another point for the round (which I think we need to boost up to 5 points next go around, I dislike the 1), and an extra 15 points if you predict all three.
We tally it all up, and rank the participants. You get points in the overall contest for whatever place you came in. So if you come in 1st out of 10, you get 10 points, 2nd would get 9, so on and so forth.

Any other suggestions?
How about the winner can choose, one time only, to erase his score on a particular event and receive the same as the event winner? The only caveat is this would have to be used with the first half or the first three quarters of the year. Eh?

How about instead of just giving it (Fate's idea) to number one, we give it to the person who had the highest average score relative to how many events they competed (we'll say that you had to have competed in at least 5). Calculate that by dividing everyone's final score by the number of events THEY participated in. That will even things out and give people who started halfway through yet are still committed to the contest a chance.
Just brainstorming though. If you don't like it, my feelings won't be hurt if you call it stupid.
How about both? Two prizes, although the winner's should be slightly better. How about the winner can get the number one score and the highest average score gets the number two score? One person can't win both, so if that's the case, the person with the second highest average score gets the prize. How's that?

Ya didn't miss a whole lot. The Davis-Diaz fight saved the night from totally sucking. Maynard owned Florian, Maia beat Miranda handily, Couture/Toney was awful and Penn totally did nothing against Edgar. A real letdown IMO after two fantastic back to back PPV's (116 & 117).
